The 10 Best Things to do in Ko Pha Ngan, Surat Thani Province

We're guessing they don't have a werewolf problem in Koh Phangan, because every month on the full moon, thousands of people take part in the Full Moon Party's all-night festivities, including music on the beach. By day, you'll find a lovely island with coconut trees and plenty of sandy white beaches. If you're a diver, visit Sailrock for a spectacular wall dive.

A great camp ran by great people. Owners are really welcoming, lovely people. Hard working coaces who will push you hard, but also joke around and create a positive training enviroment. Lots of pad work, bag work and sparring, and a fair amount of clinch work. I stayed at the deluxe apartments (for six weeks), and was really pleased with the accomodation. Spacious, clean, air conditioned apartment, really close to the gym. Post workout-food is excellent, providing important nutrients, for the most part chicken, rice, veggies and eggs. Highly recommend visiting.

Ananda Iyengar Yoga Centre

We are a yoga school in the Iyengar tradition. Iyengar yoga is a form of yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in yoga asanas. Developed by BKS Iyengar, he was the pioneer to make use of props to help students, even those with physical limitations to perform yoga asanas, so that they can also get the benefits from yoga practice. Our classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Iyengar has completely changed my life. I came to this class with a torn back and many body issues. The instructors lovingly guided me to learn how to use my body properly and continuously provide the exact support I need to fix and prevent injuries. Since coming to this highly engaging and fun class, I have become extremely more capable and functional with my body. My athletic performance has increased. I’ve lost weight. I’m happier and my posture is naturally better ALL THE TIME. This. stuff.works. I recommend trying it out at least 5-6 times in order to truly start to get it.

Absolutely beautiful beach!! Gentle waves, beautiful sand, crystal clear water. A few small massage huts and little restaurants on the beach, but it's so quiet, so tranquil, so peaceful. Shade in the afternoon great for kids. Little village at the end of the beach has a few local restaurants, mini marts, laundry, a few souvenir shops. Very stunning, quiet and relaxed part of the world, it's so beautiful!

Ao Chaloklum Bay

Soft white sand, fringed by palm trees swaying in the breeze - this is most people's idea of a tropical paradise. A gently shelving beach makes this a great place for families with small children. There are plenty of cheap, but tasty, restaurants scattered along the bay and some great restaurants for a bigger meal in the evening - lots of very fresh fish as this is essentially a fishing village. Be wary of sand flies though - I recommend you use mozzie spray and lie on a mat or towel. Also at certain times of the year there are occasionally box jelly fish swept in from further afield, but ask around if there are reports of any, otherwise the sea is really war. It is also possible to get a long tail ferry boat from here to bottle beach (which is pretty inaccessible by road - certainly by scooter) it costs 150bht per person for the boat, it's quicker and more fun.

Beautiful beach. I hiked from Had Kop to bottle beach and it was amazing. You have to follow the plastic bottles left on the trees to mark the path. It's a bit of a challenging hike but the swim in the ocean undoes all the hard work when you arrive at the beach. Caught the boat back because it was too dark to hike back. Amazing day

The best beach ???? the current in the sea is quite strong. Be carful! It’s not over crowded in the day! Best party beach at night, little bucket shacks reasonably priced, one shack has chess and connect four to play and all the locals are super friendly, one super friendly guy called Geoff! Top man! Music ranges from old to recent. You will soon come to realize that Thailand loves a remix! Hahaha! Loved this beach! ????????????????????????
