Kapalua is one of the most popular beaches on the West coast of Maui - maybe almost equally popular as the Kaanapali beach. There is great snorkeling option available here with lot of marine life. And being situated near the Ritz, it has great amenities nearby and the beach is quite well maintained.

Katrina and Dillon were the most amazing guides. I am afraid of heights and they totally made me forget. They went above and beyond to make sure my teenager had a fantastic time too. She was bragging that there was nothing they could do to scare her, so they pretended to drop her cell phone. She did not have her cell phone with her. It was hysterical! !Cannot wait to go back and do it again. Only recommendation is to make the gates electric on the ride up to the zip lines. Team KD all day long!!

Kapalua Plantation Course

Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

We had an awesome time ziplining on 4/10/18 with Daryl and Shane! Zipline tours are always fun, but what really makes a fantastic tour is the quality of the guides, and Shane and Daryl are two of the best anywhere! They made everything lots of fun, told great jokes and stories, and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe.

I highly recommend Skyline Eco Adventures, and especially their West Maui zipline tours!

There is a vast beach area to accommodate lots of visitors and at no time did we feel crowded. This was my first time ever doing this great activity and it definitely won’t be me last. This thus far, has been the best beach yet on our trip to Maui.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Kapalua

A KAPALUA SPA USING ANCIENT HEALING AND ORGANIC HERBS In ancient Hawaii, the purest of water, Waihua, was celebrated for its healing powers. Today, guests of our Maui resort spa can experience this centuries-old tradition with treatments based on native practices. Therapies draw on plants, flowers and fruits from throughout Hawaii and herbs cultivated in our very own organic garden. Private cabanas are perfect for couple’s treatments and outdoor gardens provide a serene setting for pre- or post-treatment relaxation.

Reviewed By jordankgreer3 - Denver, Colorado

My husband and I LOVED the spa here. The nice thing is that they have a few different options for you while you are there. You can receive typical spa treatments (facial, massage, etc.) or you can pay $45 for the day and just gain general access to the spa. Their grotto rooms with the hot tubs, steam rooms, and saunas are worth it alone. They have what they call a 'relaxation room' where you can hang out with spa music, comfy couches, and get lost in the experience. I would highly recommend that you visit at least one day during your stay at the Ritz!

Kapalua Golf Resort

The Kapalua Golf Resort consist of two golf courses, it is known to be Kapalua's #1 golf resort in Hawaii.

Reviewed By a-travelin-foodie - United States

Really well maintained. Luscious views with lots of trees and the Kapalua cook pines. Long expanses of uphill or downhill fairways (a few blind shots) can be intimidating, but don't try to be a hero (just keep it in the fairway) and you'll be fine. Extremely favorable front tees for vacationing couples/players make it fun but still challenging, with stunning views along the way. If the winds aren't blowing, it's actually pretty forgiving, but beware those 2-3 extra club winds, even for putting!! Know which way the grain goes and that greens break to the ocean, and you might putt well, but they can put those pins in really tricky spots where your ball just runs away. Cart girl comes around plenty. GPS and cooler (2 waters) on the cart. Practice range on grass, but they use "whiffle" balls. Check for weekend/twilight/multiple play specials. If you want to ride and not play, there's still a fee.
