If you are looking for a great way to spend a few hours, keep the kids both young and old busy and to learn how to surf safely Dread or Dead is perfect. Russell, Terry and the instructors didn’t waste a minute running through the basics then getting us out there to ride some waves. Compared to previous surf excursions ( we have done this as a family more than 3 times - 5 kids age 14 to 24 but also saw 6 year olds getting up ) this one was very tame on a beautiful south coast beech. The instructors stayed with the group for the full duration of 2 hours and were very informative and provided great guidance. We loved it and would recommend these guys for their great gear, tremendous patience and eye on safety. Thanks for a great day guys!!!

We stayed at Coconut Court so were right by this lovely beach. There are lots of tall palms for shade but the hotel facilities are for guests only. Snorkeling is fantastic as there's a shallow lagoon area sheltered by a breakwater and some large rocks with holes have been placed in the sand to provide a place for the fish swim into.

South Coast Boardwalk

Reviewed By Will-Sandy - Iroquois, Canada

Once again we visited the South Coast Boardwalk for our daily walk during our month stay in Hastings didn't see the usual group cleaning the boardwalk this year, so there was a build up of sand around Hastings Rock that was only cleared once in our stay, one new outside restaurant opened up along the boardwalk, only real issue was the sewage problem at Tapas and Magic Isle, even with this we will be back to walk the mile long boardwalk next year

This has always been our favourite beach however this year we find it deteriorating
The Industrial size garbage bin is over flowing and has not been picked up in weeks
When asked we were told nobody is paying the bills
Bus loads of tourists arrive with the shower facility closed
Not too far away by the board walk they are allowing raw sewage to enter the beautiful ocean
So Sad
Clean up needs to happen now

Really disappointing! I insisted to go there, having a long way with our rental car and in ten minutes we left. Nothing special, we buy some fruits and bread from vendors, the same like others markets in Brigetown, etc. Don't waist your time!

Beautiful cars ( apart from the Marina ) , great stories attached to each vehicle . Lovely miniature collection in a cabinet . Bill is unfortunately very deaf and his hearing aid doesn't appear to work , but I could spend all day listening to his patter , my wife was ( surprisingly ) very interested and asked several questions which belied her usual ambivalence toward cars .
If you read this Bill we are attempting to source a radiator cap for the American Austin

Cafe, Art school, Birthday Parties, play park, Art Gallery, smoothie bar and weekly farmers market for the whole family on the picturesque south coast of Barbados.

Reviewed By Trip33 - Essex England

Fresh fruit and a wide variety of ingredients make this the best place on the Island for a smoothie. Or healthy fruit bowl. Or a really good coffee. Or a juice to get the juices flowing.
Friendly staff add to the mix and on Wednesdays there is a farmers market with very interesting variety of produce and real hand made crafts.

As a sport fisherman who fishes globally I have been on some very expensive boats…however, as a fishing experience I would recommend anyone who is coming to Barbados to book Bad Habbits and Capt Trevor. The boat is big enough for 3-4 anglers and whilst you will have a target species in mind, unlike other boats that stick with a particular species set up, Trevor sets up tackle to fish for multiple species so if the wahoo ain’t biting you have always have options to at least catch fish. He is very knowledgeable about where to go and I found him very willing to talk about rigs and set ups if you want to learn. This is no capt who sits on an upper deck taking your money, but someone who is a genuine fisherman who doesn’t clock watch and is all about catching fish. I would definitely recommend him and will be booking him again.
