Ride a horse in the heart of central Kentucky. Open year round BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Sunset rides on the farm April-October. We also hire horses for off-site riding at Shaker Village and Eagles Nest. 12 year old minimum age limit and 225 lbs. maximum weight limit.

My husband and I just did the 1-hour ride around the farm with Drew, and it was wonderful! It was a bit of a ride from Lexington, but we're glad we did it! Emily and Drew were so friendly and helpful. The farm itself is beautiful, and a great setting for a horse-ride. We are both beginners, and got good instruction all along the ride. We've done horse trails in many areas, and would highly recommend this one. Friendly and knowledgeable people, beautiful ride. Also, very well-priced!

I recently toured Shaker Village along with the family. I came expecting a simple little historic village, but found oh so much more. The centerpiece of this attraction is obviously the meticulously restored remains of the former Shaker Village, but it also sets on 2,500 acres of multiple purpose land. Let me start by saying that this site contains WAY more than you could see in a day trip, but thankfully almost every building on the property has rooms serving as a bed and breakfast (I'm definitely planning a return weekend stay). The village itself will take 3-6 hours to tour, as you make your way through amazing historical buildings with artifacts. When you're done with that, the property includes miles and miles of hiking trails, places to ride horses, a working farm to tour/see, and even a riverboat you can ride. There's also a great little restaurant on the property, which is also located in one of the historic buildings.

This state park is a must see! For a small fee you can check out a historic working fort with reenactors and all. It doesn’t matter your age, there’s something cool to see here for everyone!

I few animals, a playground, hay maze, corn maze, a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, 1 free pumpkin for each person and sometimes, even a market. The family is so nice and the farm is very welcoming with things kids will enjoy! I highly recommend!
