Anywhere that has Pandas on show is a must-see for me and this property didn't disappoint. Spent most of the day here and took the Gondola ride over the park which was great. This is a nice area to walk. There is a bit of everything- it’s like the downtown. There are modern buildings everywhere. Then the financial buildings surround the area with the tallest buildings. One can see the area of the Asia games and the view of the river. There are shopping malls as well. Nice to talk around

Like such cities as London, NY, Paris, & Vancouver, Guangzhou also has a Library that is absolutely amazing!! The first ( and most lasting) impression is the startling/dramatic architecture of the building. One can take a guided tour of the library-- and learn more about the importance of its collection to China's "emerging culture" (as compared to that existing during the "Cultural Revolution"). Well worth a visit!!.

This area is very modern and there huge buildings all around.
In this area you will find the modern Guangzhou and there are lot of things to explore or photographed.
For me it was a good experience visiting this place as you can see the Opera House, Library, Mall, Stadium and this place is very good to have a picture of Canton Tower in your background.
There are parks,mall and Fountains show's but you need to be here earlier as everything closes at 22.00.
Be here is must when you are in GZ

We visited to see the Zaha Hadid architecture. The design is amazing, with the usual Hadid visual style. It was visually amazing from every angle inside and outside. We were hoping to join the weekend guided tour but there was a music competition that day and thus no tour.
On the bad side, the building is not very well maintained. Exterior tiles are seen to be cracking and shifting/offseting. I wish they would make the effort to maintain the building after investing much to do a Zaha Hadid design. Still definately worth visiting but could be better.
If i had more time, I would love to see a performance to experience the interior.

We went just before the schools broke up in China, but it was an amazing summer's day, completely clear skies but not too hot. There were plenty of rides which were all open-no random closed attractions without notice, like in many theme parks in the UK and other places I've been to. We went as the place opened with our two day pass to both the water park and Chimelong Paradise, and found that we hardly had to wait five minutes before going on the Dive Coaster. I love how long each of the rollercoaster's are-the Ten Inversion Rollercoaster does go by quite quickly but the ten loops make for an exhilarating feeling, especially if you're on the front row!
The motorbike speed coaster was incredibly fast (and felt a lot like Stealth, since the rollercoasters are made from the same company) and riding on the motorbike made me feel like I was going to fall off at any second, but I wish it had gone a little bit higher. Once again, the food exceeded our expectations-we had a pork dish with rice as well as some delicious lemon juice which, although being a little pricey, was still amazing and enough for two people.
The longest waiting time we had for any of the rollercoasters was only an hour, and that was not even for the most scary ride! The staff were very nice and honestly I had a fantastic experience. The fact that there are seats for the queues is great as well! Can't wait to come back someday.

I was invited for a lecture at Sun Yat-Sen University and stayed at the Sun Yat-Sen Kaifeng hotel on campus. The university is one of the top universities in China, and the campus is rich in history with some old buildings including where Sun Yat-Sen delivered his famous speech to the students, telling them to do for their country and keep distance from politics. The hotel is excellent. I had a corner suite overlooking the Pearl River, a magnificent view after dark. Breakfast was rich although most of the dishes were Chinese.

This attraction is a big complex with lake, lotus pond, flower garden, ancient pagoda, resort, and stone park and its highlight, big towering Guanyin statue overlooking the hill toward the Zhujiang and view of opposite riverbank industrial park. It's easy to go to the top at the basement of Guanyin by car with a little walk , easy easy, no any physical demands. Down the hill toward the river at front of Guanyin statue, it's panoramic view of on construction big garden and stone park. Beside The statue to the right, it's big monastery where locates thousand handed avalotikasavara buddha. There ate also many souvenir shops with collections of things to buy for keeping good luck, prosperity, heath, friendship and success in life.
