Sprecher Brewing Co.

Since they charge $8 for the tour, I would expect a lot better tour than standing and listening to a guy blabber on about the guy who started the company getting fired from his previous job. We sure didn't see much.

The beer hall is quite dark, the entire place was disorganized.

Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

Reviewed By R S - Grand Junction, Colorado

My wife used to volunteer here 35 years ago, so we planned a day of hiking, reminiscence, and wandering along the North Shore in a cool breeze with waves lapping at our feet. Beautiful azure water stretching to the horizon and blazingly blue sky above. Wildflowers galore, birds and more a good day of mild exercise and relaxation.

There's a visitor's center with displays, educational programs, a gift shop, and informational material.

The shoreline walk alone is good enough reason to spend some time here.

Lots of space for enjoying the spectacular view / both road level & beach level.
Sculpture has been temporarily removed....

"Jan 5 - The 'Spillover II' sculpture that was removed from Atwater Park nearly two months ago will return to Shorewood in an altered state at the request of artist Jaume Plensa.

The Richard Gray Gallery told Shorewood officials last week that Plensa's "strong preference" is to adjust the letters in the sculpture to avoid any future misinterpretations of his work. The Shorewood Village Board on Monday, Jan. 4, agreed to Plensa's request, which means 'Spillover II' will be altered and reinstalled in Atwater Park at no cost to the village."

The building itself is a work of art, especially since it's perched right on the lake shore of Lake Michigan! Visiting would be enjoyable just walking around the grounds! But then you have the added experience of going into the art museum! What a wonderful way to spend a day!!

We had an excellent service here Tori and [not sure Charles?]. It struck me though how all 6 people we dealt with were very customer centric and interested in helping and thinking about what they were doing. For example somewhere along the way they had one of us not marked as a couples massage [per some schedule my wife saw.] but someone figured it out and fixed it before it was a problem. Then she needed to reschedule a future appointment. The lady assisting her with that went above and beyond discussing technicians and options in a manner I cannot begin to understand but to say I was impressed and the Mrs. was pleased.

Overall, I think it was a great experience and will likely return for next Valentine’s day if not sooner. I would recommend this spa to others.

I completed a 90 minute float session and it was truly an amazing experience. Not only was the float totally relaxing, but the staff were super nice and accommodating. I am visiting from Texas and I wish that we had this sort of place in my small hometown. Consider this experience if you've never done it before. It is really cool.

Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear

A Milwaukee nonprofit dedicated to giving visitors a glimpse into Milwaukee life between the world wars with authentic items displayed in store settings. Handicap-accessible guided tours are offered at no additional charge, and there is free off-street parking behind the building.

I visited this fine museum with college friends while exploring Milwaukee. What a find! Mr. Chudnow's extensive collection of memorabilia transports the museum visitor back in time to the late 1800s through 1970. The rotating exhibits showcase everyday life in Milwaukee including a barbershop complete with a speakeasy from the Prohibition Era to a doctor's office, a movie theater, a grocery store and a pharmacy that legally dispensed drugs considered illegal today.

We enjoyed every minute of this tour guided by the museum director Steve. I highly recommend including a trip to the Chudnow Museum when you visit Milwaukee.

Oriental Theater

We were in Wisconsin for a Brewers game and the PGA tournament over the week-end and had some time before our flight so we added a trip to the Oriental Theater and we are damn glad we did. The decor is amazing. Makes you long for the 'good ole days' when going to the theater was an event. We were met by two members of the staff upon entering and they couldn't have been more polite, informative and accommodating. We were allowed upstairs to peak from the balcony and into the middle theater to marvel at the structure. So beautiful. Our screening got a personal introduction before the trailers which again made us feel like were experiencing something wonderfully customer service focused. So glad we found this landmark (from Trip Advisor) and took the time to experience it in full. Highly recommended.
