Fairhaven is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. It is located on the South Coast of Massachusetts where the Acushnet River flows into Buzzards Bay, an arm of the Atlantic Ocean. The town shares a harbor with the city of New Bedford, a place well known for its whaling and fishing heritage; consequently, Fairhaven's history, economy, and culture are closely aligned with those of its larger neighbor. The population of Fairhaven was 15,873 at the time of the 2010 census and estimated at 16,078 in mid-2016.

This library is gorgeous, inside and out. There is so much to the layout and design that makes you feel like you're in a castle from study/computer rooms that feel almost lavish, to the stained glass entrance. Their fiction, non fiction, and childrens selections are good, but what makes this library stand out for me is its selection of DVDs and CDs. There are so many movies they are divided by genre and even sub genre like Biopics, Comic-Based, Oscar Winners, and a fantastic selection of Silent Film. There's so much music you can find great collections of Celtic, Cajun, R&B/Soul, Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Movie Soundtracks. The staff is extremely welcoming and easy to talk to, the location is great, there's nothing not to love about this library!

Very enjoyable weather on this beautiful,leisurely day. A family had ridden bikes. This place great for exercise walking the hurricane barrier. At the ruins of the fort, were replicas of cannons and a beautiful view.

Ice House Bar has now added another room for family dining called the Harpoon Lounge. The Ice House is the hot spot for dancing, KENO, and Pub atmosphere, while the Harpoon lounge is more traditional family dining and less noisy. Both rooms share a varied menu of seafood, burgers, Pizzas and more at affordable prices.
