Lots of ski trails. everyone working there was real friendly. A large number of lifts. There is something for everyone. There are several lodges around the area. Prices are reasonable for a resort. There is plenty of lodging and plenty of parking. We stayed at the Inn. A lift or the back door and a private ski locker with a pool and hot tub

Sky High Aerial Adventure Park

Loved every minute of it, even though there were some tense moments. The park has extensive courses for varying skill levels. The high ropes courses and zip lines are challenging and very fun to conquer - to feel the satisfaction of it. The mountain coaster is a wonderful cool down activity and good for people who cannot do high ropes. The price is reasonable considering what we have paid elsewhere. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We did not do the tree wall climbs. We were just too tired. There was so much to do that we are talking about coming back for two days next time. I think this is way better than an amusement park.

This chocolate and candy is addicting!! You are intrigued by the smells from outside the quaint building right in the very heart of town. You walk in and immediately, you succumb to the decadent aroma of chocolate. There are so many selections and novelty items to peruse, but the one thing that you will be coming back for is Sponge Candy!! It literally melts in your mouth! I love the dark version and I'm hooked!
Don't leave EVL without trying Sponge Candy!

North face slopes hold the snow, great fall line skiing and riding. Slopes seem to progress from easy to headrest as you go from skiers left to right. Great food in lodge, nice friendly staff. Your will be impressed.

I visited the winery twice during our stay in Ellicottville - and did a tasting both times to try more of their wine. And all of it was delicious! I highly recommend a tasting. It's only $5 and you can try six different wines. They have a variety if wines from dry to sweet, both in white and red, along with some specialty wines. The wines are made on site from local grapes. I took several bottles home and will be ordering more! Also, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Every year I end up in Ellicottville for work and love walking around all the little shops. I have never seen this one until recently. Mostly because its down one of the side streets and I missed it in years past. I am so glad I found this store this time. The store is super cute and I loved being greeted by a dog when I walked in the door. A very unique and eclectic collection of things. There was nice jewelry, books, house decor, and more. I ended up buying this super soft and comfy cardigan. The staff was great and friendly and the prices were fantastic. I will be stopping by this store for sure on my annual pilgrimage to Ellicottville.

Nannen Arboreum

Nannen Arboretum is a good 15 minutes walk from the centre of Ellicottville, and is well worth visiting if you like peace and the beauty of trees.
The paths enable you to have an easy walk, with all the trees clearly marked, including the herbs in a special garden.
There is a small lake with fish to walk around, and fishing is allowed proving you return the live fish to the water.
There is an honesty box at the entrance for donations, and a large car park.
I would suggest that this ideal for adults who want somewhere peaceful to visit and love nature, not sure whether children would enjoy as much.
There are great views of the ski runs and several benches to sit and take in the vistas.

Just took the 3 day lesson at the Holiday Valley, NY school with Pat Hofmann. I wish I had done this several years ago. Pat is a great instructor and made the 3 days very enjoyable. I highly recommend this school, I will go back next year for sure. If you can get Pat then you will be rewarded, he is extremely patient and breaks things down, so you can understand the subject.

It was hard work and my muscles still ache! Best thing I ever did, now I have to practise my drills.
