I'm beyond grateful for all that I have learned and will learn at 1worldyoga. The place is magical, like a little fairy forest, with many colours and floral scents and the yoga sala is wonderful and peaceful. Devaki and Chami are great teachers and friends and every time I am with them I am filled with love and enthusiasm inside. Thanks, especially to Devaki, because of her I am discovering new parts of myself. Suerte amigos, un abrazo!

Koneswaram Temple

Reviewed By RamblingR - Melbourne, Australia

There is something exhilarating about standing on the top of a rock and taking in a magnificent view. From this temple, which is as close to God as anyone can get here in Trincomalee, the views over the Indian Ocean are sublime. There are small shrines built into the cliff and it is lovely to stand with Hindu devotees as they perform their rituals. The temple, the people, and the wonderful view make this place a worthy place to visit. On our way down the hill, after collecting our shoes, we sat in a coconut cafe, high above the cliff, sipping coconut water whilst immersing ourselves with this unforgettable cultural experience.

Passikudah Beach

Wonderfull beach and safe sea-bathing place at East Coast in Sri Lanka When we go to the east coast in Sri Lanka, we always select Pasikudha beach for sea-bathing and relaxing at the beach. The beach is clean. This warm blue sea is calm (during April in our experience) and can enjoy swimming safely.

Sri Pathrakali Amman Temple

Reviewed By ericnjan - Bolton, United Kingdom

Many of the temples in Trinc don't let you take photos. They are also quite traditional in that in the main building They have a central shrine, with shrines around the outside of that. This temple is wall to wall, including the ceiling, covered in colourful statues and paintings. Forget trying to make sense of it all, just go and soak it in - best temple to visit, IMO.

Pigeon Island National Park

Reviewed By 225aselap - Colombo, Sri Lanka

We had an amazing time. Went multiple times. One needs to get a bought from the Nilaveli beach. You would also need to purchase a ticket from the Nilaveli beach ticketing booth. The prices very for locals and foreigners. The people who hire the boat rides also have snorkeling equipment. We were lucky to see some amazing sea life including sea turtles and also some decent size sharks in addition to fishes of various color and sizes. The place operates from around 8:30am to around 5pm. It’s better to go in the morning when the sun is not the hottest. You can easily spend 3+ hrs. Advice to take some water as there are no shops. Littering is NOT permitted so take some form of bag or container to bring your empty bottles or cartons. Kids will love this place

Marble Beach

Reviewed By thesavvyjetsetter - Vancouver, Canada

Checked out Marble Beach while staying at Uppuveli. Well worth the journey! It's tucked in a small bay, the water is calm and gentle and the water is crystal clear. Locals also come to enjoy the beach as well as tourists so it's a nice mix. There are a couple of small hotels with their section but the public section is just as nice. Definitely recommend making a trip to enjoy a full day or afternoon!
