Discover Mull Tours

Discover Mull is a tour with a difference, based in the scenic village of Dervaig. As well as the 50 species of wildlife seen on most of our tours, we will take time to explain the history and geology and to show you the wildflowers that makes Mull such a special place. Lasting 8 hours the tour is very relaxed and friendly.

Having experienced some very mediocre fortunes trying to spot Mull wildlife on my own over previous years, I decided to put myself in the hands of the professionals this year and spent a splendid day out with Arthur of Discover Mull. A very entertaining host, Arthur took us to all the right places to see Mull's famous wildlife, large and small, with eagles, hen harriers and otters being the highlights for me.
With tasty lunch and coffee stops, the minibus provided a really comfortable and rewarding day out.
I can thoroughly recommend a day out with Discover Mull, and I feel sure I will be back for another trip next year.

Caledonian MacBrayne - Tobermory Day Trips

Mull is wild and beautiful. 300 miles of dramatic coastline, including some excellent Beaches, and a castle that's appeared in several films. The island's main town, Tobermory, is famed for the cheerful colours of its waterfront buildings and the yachts bobbing in the natural harbour, where legend has it that one of the Spanish Armada ships sank in 1588 carrying gold bullion. Tobermory is also well known for being the setting of hit children's TV show Balamory.

This was our 4th trip to Mull and we had seen Sea Eagles many times. We decided this year to take our first trip out with Martin and Alex, and what a great afternoon we had. I was not quite prepared for the sheer excitement...MoreThank you for the lovely review. I agree about the cameras I enjoy watching the action just as much if not more than photographing it and you can miss things just by looking through the viewfinder. Look forward to seeing you again Martin

Langamull Beach

Reviewed By Kiamom - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Langamull beach is a very pretty white sand beach You have it almost to yourself because you have to walk quite a distance to access the beach. You can park in thr Community Forestry Parking Area. There is a sign showing Langamull Beach and Kildavie primitive sites but not clear directions as to which way to go to get there. The most direct route is to stay to the left track and go through the gate leaving the forestry area. Otherwise you will have a much longer walk. Be aware that the trees have been cut down and some remnants are lying on the ground. The area you walk through on the way to the beach is quite barren. There are sheep grazing in the forestry area as well. There are information boards about the Kildavie sites. The views across the water from the beach are quite lovely.
