Majority of hyped German WWII vehicles were there (WWII focus is rather clear, but you have examples of more modern tanks and APCs there). I guess you have to know your staff when you enter, as English descriptions would be insufficient for someone who is an absolute beginner to the subject. You can climb inside a single tank. I guess a more interactive profile would engage you more, as we were surprised we completed the tour in about an hour, not counting in a coffee.

Suggest before you go, look up the fascinating history of this baroque fairytale, now in advanced stages of restoration following neglect under the GDR. The lakeside setting is superb. The Gardens alone worth a visit. The inside very well presented.The inside restaurant was closed when we were here (though you only find out after following signs upstairs, downstairs etc). Unless desperate give the tempting outside cafe / tea rooms a miss - the deeply unmotivated staff are presumably civil (!) servants. But as M would put it, very well worth a detour.

Whilst in Luneburg on a business trip I was fortunate to get to see the 'Rathaus' (town hall) both by night and by day and even though I didn't get chance to go inside it is a very attractive building indeed and one that is a must to witness. When I visited it on a Wednesday morning at about 9am there was a market in full swing that was selling some superb fresh produce.

The Wildpark is in a lovely location in a forest. Parking at the attraction is free, entry is €9.50 per adult and is great value for money. Once inside there are places to eat and there are plenty of toilet facilities throughout the park. There is also a gift shop.
The route through the park is an easy stroll. Even though they are mostly written in German, the maps, routes and information boards are easy to follow.
There are several areas of the park where you are in with the animals, especially the deer. Food ( for the deer) is available for purchase from vending machines for €1 for a box.
On the whole a great day out, good value for money with lots to see. Although we were not visiting with children it was clear to see that other families were enjoying the interaction with the animals.
Would highly recommend.

This family friendly wildlife park has animal exhibits, a petting zoo and daily air show with birds. Daily feedings include otters, badgers and raccoons. There is also a park and a playground. Take a night hike with kids over age 6.

After a delicious brunch in the restaurant, we entered into the park - 6 adults and 3 children (in a 'Bollerwagen' each). We are always delighted and happy to be here. This time it was helped by the weather improving steadily throughout the day. We had a Bratwurst stop in the craft area and then spent quite a lot of time in the play area. The rides are great (and not expensive at 1 Euro a go).

I have seen the Hundertwasser toilets in Kawakawa, New Zealand so wanted to see this station since I was staying in Hannover. I was not disappointed in the quirky and eccentric decoration and also the cleanliness. The station has shops and places to eat and can either be approached by car or by train from any main station. It was worth the detour and time and I cannot praise it too highly.

The iodine brine thermal bath is good for cures. There are 4 generous pools with many jacuzzis. Not so many possibilities to play so it is more for the mature generation to really relax and have a quiet time. I'm always driving 30km to the baths, it's really worth it.

If you'll be lucky to visit this captivating small town, surrounded by water from all sides, you’ll definitely decide to take a stroll along their shores. Then you’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover the impressive heavy structure on the hilltop above the peninsula’s north end. Undeniably, Ratzeburger Dom can not compete with magnificent St. Marien zu Lübeck just 25 km away. But keep in mind that the «Mother of all brick stone gothic churches» was built between 1250 and 1350 whereas the late Romanesque Ratzeburg Cathedral was founded in 1154. One of the oldest brick churches of Germany come down to us practically unchanged!
You are not expected to be mesmerised by Dome’s interior. But it is well worth to walk around and visit the Cloister (begun about 1220) around its secluded courtyard.
And after all, you definitely must attend their cultural events. Let us mention three Concerts out of an incoming variety (2016): Children's choir of the Berlin State Opera, North German Chamber Choir and Mecklenburg State Orchestra (free or for ridiculous 4-5 euro!). Almost weekly music lovers can enjoy their outstanding Rieger organ. We attended two of them given by invites maestros - from Denmark and Austria, and it was something unforgettable!

It is almost impossible to describe Iserhatsche. We had no idea what we were going to see when we decided on this visit but,as soon as we entred, there was the "wow" factor and this remained with us throughout our 5 hour visit.
Iserhatsche the "Neuschwanstein des Nordens" - "Berg der Sammelleidenschaften" is simply awesome and one has to see it to appreciate its uniqueness.
Iserhatsche is open all year round and the visist starts with a guided tour of the grounds, the Jagdschloss which is still the family home and the Montagnetto with all its fascinating collections. It's not just a museum but also used for civil wedding ceremonies and many other celebrations.
We were lucky enough to be guided through the Jagdschloss by the owner and learnt many interesting facts and we found him a most interesting character with a unique sense of humour.
After the guided tours one is able to explore the buildings and Gardens at leisure and there are surprises waiting round every corner.
Everything is very well maintained and the Weide-Wald- Haus- Cafe offers home-baked cakes, coffee/tea and drinks at reasonable prices. One can also leave the venue to eat in the village and then return to explore this wonderland further.
Dogs are not allowed and Iserhatsche is not really suitable for very young children or the disabled.
An unforgettable day and definitely worth a visit.

We came across this statue when I was strollin in the town. It is located on the old market square, where you will also find the old church, the (old) city hall and some very old houses. It really is the oldest and also the nicest square in Molln.
The statue it self is not that impressive, but it is part of local history and in that sense something that needs to be seen.
It is nice just to sit on the benches, watch te little Fountain and also enjoy the nice scenery here.
The children enjoyed playing with the Fountain for a while.
