The 10 Best Things to do in Cuatro Caminos, Community of Madrid

August 27, 2021 Margarita Chappel

So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

The Darkest Room

Many escape rooms put your senses to the test. The Darkest Room shows you how it feels when you lack one of them completely: eyesight. Plunge into a multi-sensory adventure which will brighten up the rest of your senses as well as your wits, of course. A challenge suitable for everybody (children, young adults, grown-ups) and inclusive for visually challenged people. Sharpen your ear, tact and smell, you will definitely need them more than ever. Original, unheard-of, created from scratch adventures to play without the sense of sight –all without giving up the essence of escape rooms: padlocks, riddles, keys, surprises...

Mercado de Maravillas

Reviewed By AJS-NY - Santiago, Chile

This is a genuine working market, not like San Miguel which is a tourist attraction. It is also very diversified. Go there to buy fresh goods and to eat. You will find Spanish, Peruvian and my favorite, Venezuelan stalls. Had empanadas and a cachapa de size of a pizza....queso blanco and all. Lots of fun too.
