Nathanael Greene Homestead

Reviewed By Charlesvincent A - Amissville, Virginia

This visit was spontaneous as I saw the signs along the road for Nathaniel Greene' Homestead. I followed the signs into a neighborhood, parking is across the street.

Unfortunately, this place is only open on Monday, Friday, and Sunday; I was here on Wednesday.

I still got out of my car, looked around on the outside and read the information on the Homestead. As I was looking around I could only imagine how this placed looked before the existing neighborhood was built around it, I'm sure it was a nice homestead. I'll have to come again with my family and hopefully catch a reenactment of some sort.

I have been trying to come here for years and finally made it, and it exceeded expectations! Beautiful location, beautiful museum, and amazing social justice and civil rights tour given by the museum staff member, who was not only incredibly well informed and passionate but had stories to share from her and her family's own experiences.

I learned so much, and will definitely be coming back to learn more! absolutely enjoyable, educational, and enlightening.

Leyden Farm Vineyard and Winery

Reviewed By Michaelbdoherty - Norton, Massachusetts

Just off the main road makes it an easy to find and enjoyable ride. A very nice tasting room operation was enjoyable. Friendly staff made for a great experience. My only complaint was the price of tasting. Me and my wife both wanted a tasting and the bill came to $22.00! This did not include the glasses (they were and EXTRA) $3.00 each. We got to choose 5 wines. Neither tasting was comped with the purchase of 2 bottles of wine. Wine prices were a little high for what they were. Most were around $19.00 a bottle. Another winery in the area charged the same however glasses were complimentary.
