Cottesloe Beach

Enjoy the day in one of Australia's most striking urban Beaches.

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful day on the beach swimming in warm, calm waters. The beauty of the beach experience was further enhanced by Sculptures by the Sea. There were so many fun, creative pieces! We appreciated a bit of shade sitting under the wing of the plane sculpture. Parking was not an issue because we took Uber from and back to Perth.

Kings Park & Botanic Garden

The park cultivates over 13,000 species of Western Australian plants and contains one of the world's largest areas of natural bush land close to a city.

Perhaps ‘just beautiful’ is enough to say.
If you want perfect views across the Swan River looking almost 360 degrees around Perth, this is the place to come.
Perhaps have a coffee and take in the serenity of the War Memorial and some quiet contemplation of the Eternal Flame.
Wonder through the various memorials which are thought provoking and incredibly sad.
We loved the botanical Gardens. WA is known for its wonderful native plants and the Gardens took us on a great ‘plant’ journey around the state.
No trip to Perth is complete without time in Kings Park.

Leighton Battery Guns

Reviewed By Danielle A A - Perth, Australia

A really interesting and informative historical tour of the Leighton Battery guns at Fremantle. Tour took around an hour, mostly underground, and only $12 per adult. The tunnels are very safe and easy underfoot, no closed in footwear required. A fantastic tour, I learnt a lot about WA history, ANZAC history, large guns and ammunition.I wish I'd done it sooner. Our volunteer guide, Ian, was fantastic, full of enthusiasm and information. A well run site, thank you for the experience.
