I took my teenage son and a few of his friends there last month and we were met with very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are superb with warm outdoor showers to wash off the mud and changing rooms next door, lockers and a snack shack with hot drinks and snacks to keep you going. We will definitely be back.

Seasons Green

An independent gift shop and gallery, supporting local, Dorset artists, as well as makers from all over the UK. We also stock some more well-known brands, and pride ourselves on finding beautiful and unusual gifts. Much of our range is inspired by flowers, plants, and the stunning local countryside of the Jurassic Coast. If you are visiting Corfe Castle, then come and see our 17c shop. Turn left at the National Trust shop in the village square - we are opposite the Church, just past the Fox Inn and the Model Village. We have gifts for gardeners, presents for men, and a children's range too. But we are probably best known for pretty, girly gifts, stationery and cards; and gorgeous home accessories. We also have a wonderful and varied collection of art, such as hand-painted driftwood; fine art; watercolours and oil paintings. Many local artists and crafters contribute work such as art glass; turned wood; ceramics and pottery; felting and needlework and all manner of quirky crafts.

This wonderful independent shop sells the most beautiful products, many made by local artists, of all types to suit any budget - gifts, cards, homeware, craft kits. Always find items I love and usually end up buying for myself! Have recently ordered a few things by click&collect which were ready the next day though they are now delivering too until they are able to re-open. A jewel of a shop in this area in a beautiful setting.

We were attending a nearby wedding and stayed over night and decided to incorporate a trip to Corfe castle in the visit, and it added a great deal to the weekend, Lots of history from the civil war era and beyond, a lovely fresh air national trust site, a steam railway runs about 1/2 mile away, which sometimes can give great views. Whilst relatively expensive, it makes taking out the Nat Trust membership even more worthwhile. Generally a great learning experience for bith adults and kids can also have great fun. Worth a trip to be fair

Corfe Castle Model Village

If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before destruction by Cromwell in 1646, a visit to the model village shows Corfe Castle and the village in 1/20th scale. Set in beautiful Purbeck surroundings, also with giant games, enchanted fairy garden, working stocks and pillories and croquet. There is on site the Courtyard Tea Room for good quality reasonably priced snacks with a wide range of gluten free options.

The garden is amazing. It’s unbelievable how still colourful the garden is. A lot of special touch from the courtyard right through the end of the garden. The model village is small but it’s so special because it is a perfect copy of the main village. The tea room is very cosy with a good selection of cakes and cream tea to die for. We live just in Poole and we have never been there before. What a surprise! Thank you to all the staff and the owner for your great service and your friendly hospitality.

Dorset Mud Trail

Great fun. Second visit with mate. Dont have to be a child to enjoy. Wore old compression gear for the trail. Takes about an hour to do the course. Arrived a little early for session. Allowed to start early by the friendly reception staff member. The new showers were warm. I do agree with others extra showers needed, whether covered or classed as Male or female. A bigger changing room would be better for the number of people activitying. Definitely worth a revisit for 2020.
