Ritoque Expediciones arose from the efforts of Sebastian Lara, horse breeder for all his life, and Maria Elena Rodriguez, dedicated to Pubic Relations, as a way to keep their way of living next to horses and nature and sharing this experience with people.Our objective is to allow Chileans and foreigners to enjoy outstanding nature locations. Our aim in each one of our trips is that our clients get to know as well as possible the flora, fauna and culture of the places that we visit. Our clients will, comfortably and safely, make a special connection with the people and nature of the area.We are part of the Guía de Turismo Rural (Countryside Tourism Guide) of the V region of Chile, supported by Sernatur (Nacional Tourism Service) since 2005; and we received the prize “Premio Sernatur a la Gestión Emprendimiento Turístico 2006”.We are located 3 kilometers north from Concón, on the highway to Quintero. Only 30 kilometres north from Valparaíso, and only two hours from SantiagoRitoque Expediciones nace hace 8 años de la inquietud de Sebastián Lara y María Elena Rodríguez, por mantener un estilo de vida cercano a la naturaleza y los animales. Y compartirla con quienes estuvieran interesados en vivir una experiencia cercana a la vida de naturaleza. Nuestra misión es que chilenos y extranjeros puedan disfrutar de lugares de naturaleza exuberantes en belleza y quietud. Compartimos nuestra forma de cocina, que se caracteriza por comida chilena, generalmente asados siempre alrededor de una gran fogata! Trabajamos con grupos de diverso tamaño, montados sobre un caballo, según se requiera. Organizamos eventos al aire libre, ofreciendo servicio de comidas que montamos en el lugar de la actividad, ya sea en medio de las dunas o a orillas del Estero Mantagua, etc..Generalmente contamos con guías bilingües inglés – español que acompañan a nuestros clientes durante el recorrido. Formamos parte de la Guía de Turismo Rural de la V Región, apoyados por Sernatur desde el 2005 hasta la fecha y recibimos el Premio Sernatur a la Gestión y Emprendimiento Turístico 2006.

I travel every fall with my girlfriends and Chile was our destination last October. We spent time in Santiago, then spent 3 days in Valparaiso. We took a bus up to Concon, which was easy and very inexpensive, and met Maria at the easily located gas station. The 3 of us spent an amazing morning riding out with two lovely young women who were volunteering at the ranch. Our horses were so well trained and amenable. My friends are not very horse savvy and I am only moderately so. Even with this, we had an amazing trip down the beach, through the wild grasses, and through the dunes. When we got back, Maria had prepared an incredible lunch for us, accommodating my dietary request for fish rather than beef, pork, or chicken. She even drove us to a more convenient bus stop on her way to pick up her children from school. The whole experience was fantastic, top to bottom. I can't recommend this experience enough.

The scenery is beautiful and you can do a lot of outdoor activities. But be careful to take all of your stuff, since the lodge is near the main road it suffers of robbery. The group at I was in, was told to leave all of our precious things (pc, jewelry, cameras, etc) at the room for an activity towards the beach. In the meanwhile someone entered the room without forcing the door and took our things away. The lodge didn't take responsability.

The glories of the past are in view as is the failure to maintain this gem. Hundreds of specimens present for admiration, but none are labled. All identification has gone away. Heavy utilization is apparent, and some efforts and new plantings are in view. The formal Gardens benefit from good care, but much is closed.

From Valparaiso Errazuriz street, orange/white buses 601,602,605 run to Concon via Vina del Mar ( libertad ) to the dunes & on to Concon town & beach. (1 usd) . The Dunes are between the coast road & a higher inland road & the buses use the 2 routes, (601 coast road) . The dunes are nicest on the coast side. where the sea breeze smooths the sand. From the inland road it would only take 30 mins to walk to the coast road. On the coast there is a little headland (with a big Concon sign) which has nice sea views. Here is the path up the dunes. BUT Best to go at busy times, eg. late afternoon (5pm) when locals come. If alone it might not be safe, 2 cops were posted to the headland to prevent crime there!
Concon beach has Surfing, food , showers, trinket shops.

This is not the prettiest beach. The ugly yellow cement staircases descend on to a rather muddy and yes, Amarillo, yellow beach. What's nicer than the beach are the rocky outcroppings on either side of the beach.. if you're interested in a place to sit on a bench and listen to the waves crash, this beach will definitely serve your purpose. But I'm not sure I'd swim here.

Museum has free admission.
Ground floor has a few period exhibits such as old irons, vinyl singles, but is not that interesting.
The chief attraction is the period rooms on the second floor in Louis XVI style, their decoration and furniture.
To my mind the star exhibit is a carved elephant's tusk of exquisite detail and workmanship. Of course, totally unacceptable nowadays.

Esta es la tienda soñada para todas aquellas personas a las que que nos encantan los artículos de librería, especialmente si son originales, prácticos y bellos.
Hay múltiples alternativas para elegir productos funcionales, los que además tienen llamativos colores y son sumamente "onderos". A mí me gusta darme una vuelta seguido porque van renovando los productos cada semana.
Totalmente recomendable!

playa especial para falilia con niños pequeños, alejada de las grandes playas y de las grandes olas. Tiene problemas de estacionamiento pero como cualquier otra playa de la region en pleno verani, recomendado entonces ojala ir por las mañanas
