Whichever way you go it's a long drive along narrow roads through the Maures Massif. Locals in cars, vans and lorries don't slow down, so be warned! Once there the car park is a ten minute walk from the buildings along a rough track. The site is very beautiful and incredibly well-restored, with much to see, although there's a great deal more with no access as the Sisters of Bethlehem live their lives in cells in this remote place. The feeling of utter peace pervades the whole site, and the utter quietness was beguiling.
