Les Pipes de Cogolin - Courrieu

Just away from teh centre of Cogolin is this fantastic pipe-maker. they have thousands of hand-made pipes on display and even more tucked away in drawers. There were so many sizes and designs including carvings of presidents and other famous people. It was fascinating, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It's worth a detour if you're in the area, there can't be many places like this in the world.

Port Grimaud

Reviewed By Christine F

Port Grimaud is a picturesque seaside town, it is a mixture of France and Italy. This seaside town was created by architect François Spoerry in the 1960s by modifying the marshes of the river Giscle on the bay of Saint-Tropez.
Built with channels in a Venetian manner, but with French "Fishermans" style houses resembling those in Saint-Tropez.
This little town is surrounded by pastel buildings and little canals. Even though it is small it is very charming, with small boutiques and coffee shops dotted around town. Apart from walking, you can also go on boat rides around the canals to explore the town.
Honestly I could have stayed there the whole day just wondering and exploring this small town. There are plenty of instagrammable spots there, I just wished I could have spent more time there.

Azur Park

It is a really great amusement park with good value for your money. The great thing is that you can use your punch card another day if you don't use up all your rides. Staff was friendly and rides lasted longer than average I thought. I also thought that it was nice that entry to the park was free so if you don't want to go on any rides you don't have to pay to join your family. We also felt safe due to security control.

Its worth the climb through the ruins of Grimaud castle to the summit just for the views of the surrounding countryside, although this is a tall order on a hot Summer's day ! although the ruins are impressive, there isn't much by way of historical info posted on signs throughout the castle

How lovely is this? What a treat, a lovely ride up to the Medieval City of Grimaud. We boarded the train just outside the entrance into Port Grimaud, the journey takes 30 minutes to reach the City, a running commentary gives some history and points out interesting places along the route. The cost is amazing, only 7 euros return. Don't miss this when you are in the area.

Very convenient way to see the town. Easy to drive. Relaxing. Cash only but not very expensive. 30 minutes was enough for us due to chilly weather. I think the cost was $25 Euros. There are at least two electric boat operators in town. We passed by the one near the entrance and used the one that is just over the first bridge, near the church.
