The wineries of Chacras de Coria teem with mysterious old-world charm. Vintages here are distinctive, thanks to the varying altitudes and temperatures of wine country. Take a guided tour of several vineyards to sample the best of what Argentina has to offer. Once you’ve slipped fully into grape haze, retire to a charming B&B or wine-country inn.

Surrounding this beautiful community just outside of downtown Mendoza, there are many beautiful streets to ride bikes and quite a few wineries that you can visit by bicycle. What’s really nice about Bacchus biking is that when you’re done for the day they’ll come get the bikes wherever you are. You do not have to bring them back to them. They are very nice people at this bike shop. The bikes are in excellent condition. Definitely a great way to spend the day.

We read the reviews of wineries before coming to Mendoza. Tierras Altos was the only one I booked, after Reading many reviews. It was definitely the right decision.
Daniel & Freddy, met us upon arrival, with a wonderful rose. Then discussed their family’s wine making and educational philosophy.
We have been to Napa/Sonoma, along with other wineries in the USA, however we have never learned more of not only the wine making and tasting process. We left feeling we could become sommelier’s - it was that informative!! And oh by the way it was very easy & enjoyable all while tasting the best wine we have had in Mendoza!
I can not say enough about how hospitable & helpful both Freddy & Daniel were! There kitchen was closed so they took us to a competitor that had a incredible lunch with tasting.
This place is a MUST TRY!!!!!

After an incredible wine tasting at Tierras Altos, Daniel & Freddy, directed us to Clos de Chacras for lunch. We ended up ordering the 6 course tasting & food pairing, it was excellent! Javier, our server, took us through a three hour tasting & Pairing extravaganza.
The whole experience was awesome & enjoyable! The wine & food was fantastic!

It is a small open mall, which is nicely laid out. There are some really nice shops which houses most internationally renowned brands. Prices are typically high, though some shops offers good deals. The best part about this mall, however, is its dining options. There are 3 really good restaurants onsite along with fast food options such as McDonalds. If in Mendoza, do give it a visit.

We saw this striking jumble of triangular hills when we stopped at the colorful indigenous market town of Purmamarca on our way from Salta to Humahuaca. It was our first premonition of the famous Quebreda de Humahuaca, almost a piece that had broken off and now stands all by itself. It was easier to believe that it had been produced as a consequence of venal mining practices rather than by the natural processes of marine sedimentation, river and lake movements, and the shifting of tectonic plates over millennia of time. Yet another colorful feather in the cap of this wondrous and insufficiently known region of Northern Argentina.

That's the place I've learned the most about wines. It was not obvious and I actually learned things I can use back in Buenos Aires when buying myself wine in the supermarket. Besides, they have very good wine!Thank you very much for your words!!! Best Regard Alejandro1!!

A pleasant and easy going place to walk around on a sunny afternoon. You can take a seat and see other strollers go by. There are ice-cream shops nearby or eateries nearby on Hirigoyen Ave. There is also a kiddies entertainment which I have not visited I must admit, but seems pretty full of people on warm Sunday evenings.

We used our RED bus pass for public transport outside Mendoza and ended up in the outlying community of Chacras. There, a local shopkeeper sent us down a dusty drive to this tiny family Bodega for lunch. Very nice experience as we ate in a rustic outdoor setting under the vineyards. A touristy kind of place which attracted cyclists from Europe and Australia. The food was prepared on an outside "disco" and was delicious. A bit pricey but highly recommended.

The classes are held on a special place and Cristina will teach you to prepare "empanadas mendocinas" in the clay oven. We will continue preparing meet and vegetables on the open fire with fresh chumichurri sauce based on Arauco olive oil .We finish the class with a desert: caramelized fruit from the clay oven. Finca Adalgisa Malbec wine will be present during all the experience! Advance reservation and payment is required. The Cooking class is not available everyday so, we recommend you to book asap!
This is a fantastic event to do. It is a demonstration with some hands on cooking class with a really good chef at a wonderful boutique hotel and winery. Arrive early if you are not staying here to walk around and start drinking their wonderful malbec. Cristina is great, walking you through the making of chimichurri and empanadas. She gives both cooking and cultural tips as she goes on. You wine glass by the way is never empty! You then cook a great steak and vegis and enjoy a killer meal. Hopefully there will be a few others so the evening is a great social/food and wine night. Do it.
