A very nice park with multiple entrances and car parks. You can walk for miles without using the same path. Many ponds and trees providing the desired shade on a hot day.

Lidice Memorial is a place everyone who visits the Czech Republic should see.
The whole exhibition is set up so you can almost feel the horror the inhabitants must have felt on June 10, 1942 when the Germans and their Czech helpers came to town and without any explanation began to execute the residents.
You have to take time to go for a walk in the park, go to the bronze sculptures of the 82 children who were cold-blooded murdered, and then go to the remains of the church and the remains of the houses that once lay here.

Hele udstillingen er sat op så man næsten kan mærke den gru indbyggerne må have følt den 10. juni 1942 da tyskerne og deres tjekkiske hjælpere kom til byen, og uden nogen forklaring begyndte at henrette beboerne.
Man skal give sig tid til at gå en tur i parken, ud til bronzeskulpturerne af de 82 børn der blev koldblodigt myrdet, og ud til resterne af kirken, og de enkelte mur rester der findes, af de huse der engang lå her.

Although called a Cathedral it actually isn't as there is no Bishop so it's a Chapel. It's a very impressive one, some well preserved frescoes. A recent addition to the tour is that you can now go up into the gallery which is very much worth the climb up the steps.

The Saint Barbara's church was built by and for the silver miners in Kutna Hora. The church itself is architecturally stunning, both the interior and exterior. However, relative to other European churches, it was somewhat average in terms of its beauty. The history of the church was very interesting.

Cesky Sternberk is a fabulous day trip out of Prague. It is possible to go by public transport, which involves a beautiful riverside journey for the last part. You arrive across the river from the Castle, and just walk across the bridge and up the hill to the Castle. Lovely views of the Castle. I went for the second time, on a trip for my birthday. As there were 9 of us, we got the Penta Hotel, where we were staying, to organise a minibus for us. It waited whilst we did a private tour and lunch in the Castle Restaurant. The guide was excellent, spoke perfect English, and gave us a very interesting tour. A really lovely day out. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed strolling the cobbled streets and admiring the colourful buildings. Very quaint and charming with great views and excellent restaurants. I am sure spring time here is wonderful although in autumn is very beautiful too. I wish I had stayed closer to the centre to walk around a bit more.

The future stares in your face...memento mori...is what awaits us all.
A chilling reminder of where were all going to get one day.
From outside it looks like a tiny chapel which you would easily miss. The secret it hides is the bones of over 50 thousand people nicely arranged into 4 huge piles, a chandelier, few pillars and a few other decorations.
Unless someone recommends this place you would easily miss it.
When in Prague take 1-2 hrs to get there by train or 1 hr by car..it will definitely be worth it.

The Sedlec Chapel is a collection of bones fron over 40,000 skeletons of people who died from the Black death plague. The place itself reminds you that death is part of life. It was something unique to see and I would definitely recommend it.

Very nice exposition to visit in Mlada Boleslav. A lot of great Skoda cars (most beautiful ones are from 30s-40s). Low price for entrance (175 czk for family ticket). There is a special room for relaxation like in forest - cool idea!

We visited Museum of Silver on one Sunday in June. We have ordered tickets for two rounds - museum/ history round and the old silver mine tour. Both parts were very informative and interesting and definitely worth the visit.
