The canal system in England is great but this was my first experience of French canals. This set of four locks lowers the water level 9.6 meters from the Castelnaudary Basin to the Canal du Midi going East. We timed out late Autumn visit with a cruiser navigating the locks so got to see the locks in action. Well worth a visit.
