Yeah....exactly like in the books with cowboys and indians we read as children this waterfall has everything: scenery, mistery, thrill, adventure !!!!
What an amazing place, what fun we had !!!!
If you love those hard to find-rock jumping into crystal clear water-picturesque waterfalls THIS IS IT !!!
Words don't describe not even remotely the true beauty of this waterfall. You have to see it ( and experience it) to believe it ! Bring a set of changing clothes, the water is cold even in July !!!
Be careful, it could be easily missed. Drive slowly on Blue Ridge Parkway. At Milepost 417 at Looking Glass Rock overlook ,just across the street from the overlook parking .Then the trail it's easy to find and the waterfall is at the end of a 1/2 mile hiking trail from the Parkway overlook.

So we received our cut stones and basically have been advised by three different jewelers that because of the way the stones were cut the value is next to nil. The oval/round cut performed has decreased he value. So we spent more money on the bucket lof material than all five stones are worth combined.
So I am have to say this place is a tourist trap and don't have the owner cut your stones.

This remains a hidden gem in the mountains. The performances are superb. The actors are good enough to be on Broadway. We are so lucky to have this cultural experience in our midst.

One annoying issue needs to be addressed. The headphones for the hard of hearing, have a bright red light directly on the top center. Sitting behind someone using this device makes it hard to stay focused on the performance as the users quite innocently move there heads around and it reminds me of following the bouncing ball! Surely these can be exchanged for something far less obtrusive and distracting. We had three folks directly in front of us, each wearing the same hearing aid system. Please???

Thanks.

This was the best United States tour that I have every had the pleasure taking. Time was a fantastic guide who is passionate about what he does. He gave the history of the area, answered our questions and was excited when one of the Elk bugled (the should not be doing that at this time of year! We had so much fun. There were 4 adults (all senior citizens). This was the perfect tour for my husband since he has difficulty with his balance. Most of the tour was either in the vehicle or outside of it observing the wildlife. We saw a flock of turkeys and watched a herd of Elk for a long time. Thank you Tim for an awesome time in the mountains!!!
