Canton, officially the Charter Township of Canton, is a charter township of Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located about 8 miles (13 km) west of the city limits of Detroit and 8 miles (13 km) east of the city limits of Ann Arbor. As of the 2010 census, the township had a population of 90,173, making it Michigan's second largest township and eleventh largest community. Canton is ranked as 96th highest-income place in the United States with a population of 50,000 or more. Canton Township is also consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in the United States, as well as in the state of Michigan. In 2015, the township was ranked as the 29th safest city in America. Canton is one of Michigan's fastest growing communities.

**This review is for the air show put on BY the Yankee Air Museum crew at the Belleville Airport**
I see many complaints about parking and lines but we've lived around the U.S. & attended numerous events from air shows to state fairs, amusement parks to concert/outdoor venues, not one had closer parking than Yankee, not at this size & caliber I mean. My husband recently had his hip replaced and was asked on his way out (both days, we attended Sat. & Mon.) if he wanted a ride in one of the gulf carts driven by a volunteer. And we parked in 2 different lots AND my husband is in his late 40's so for someone to notice and stop to help is unique, I've included those 2 details because it seemed many people were on the look out to help @ the show. The flight line was full of planes, tanks, a helicopter, emergency equipment, attractions you could tour, take photos of & in, Rosie the Rivetors, food and drink tents, souvenirs (we forgot to purchase a show shirt the first day and they were sold out by Monday but we were able to get one that had the year & some of the planes on it at the Blue Angels tent Monday afternoon). The actual air show, from 1-4ish, was PHENOMENAL!! From the wing walker to the parachuters, the trio of planes that kicked off the show to the "narrator," the reenactment, to Presentation of Colors then finally, the Blue Angels (of course) were heart-stopping, loud and exciting! We can't wait to see the Air Force's Thunderbirds at Yankee's show next August, 2018! Great job by ALL of the hardworking, mostly retired-looking volunteers at the show, keep up the family environment and we'll be back!

A neat place to spend a Sunday afternoon visiting the Depot. Some interesting buildings with the Huron River close by. A walk around town and pizza for lunch with memories from my alma mater, EMU. Didn't go into the old dealership, but enjoyed the nostalgia. It was a 35 minute drive from home.

This is a great setting to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or walk around and looking at the happenings around it. Fall time si best when the trees change colors.

WOW. Reclining seats that go all the way back with leg support. i almost fell asleep. The sound, and movie image was also first rate. we did not have food or play games in the lobby but all was seemed pretty good.

I have been to this theater for musical plays, orchestra concerts and similar events. The theater is semi intimate (seats about 400-500). I would guess the acoustics are average. However, it fits the need perfectly for events of a moderate to smaller audience. As a local community theater, it is perfect. The area is very safe. Parking is a little bit of a nuisance but certainly manageable.

This is a great little local museum in the town that was the site of the original Daisy BB Gun factory. In fact, the museum has one" little corner" of the factory on display with the original wooden floor that is imbedded with hundreds if...MoreThank you for this review Fred! We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. The Daisy exhibit is especially dear to out hearts as well.

This is a shop filled with fun stuff sold by tons of different vendors. One side is antiques and the other is more home made stuff. Don't try to see everything in just a lunch hour. There is just too much stuff to see.

$3 movies and 1$ popcorn. Are you kidding me? Since this Theatre was taken over by Friends of the Penn, everything has been updated. Seats, screen, marquee, bathrooms, the works. Friendly volunteers make the experience a great one. Oh how I love having this wonderful theatre a part of downtown Plymouth!!!!

The Canton Public Library connects your community. Canton Public Library serves more than 90,000 residents of Canton Township in western Wayne County, Michigan. We are a member of TLN and Metro Net. Our director is Eva Davis. CPL is the busiest single-branch library in the state, circulating 300,000+ items over 1.7 million times [in 2012]. Our 53,500 square foot facility provides space for our 77%-resident patron population of more than 85,818 cardholders. The library's computers are open for public use-no time limit or library card required, the building has Wi-Fi throughout. Copy/print/scanners are available, as well as a self-assist paid fax. We also have a vending machine area with drinks and snacks, an ATM, and public restrooms. Food and drink is allowed in the library.

I love the staff at Canton Public Library. Always greet you with a smile, there to help you with any problem you may be encountering, offering technical help as well as referencing. Very large collection in all sections. Bright and well lit sitting areas to browse newspapers or periodicals. Meeting room space is available to reserve for small group meetings or events. Plenty of parking and next door to the municipal building. Programs are offered for elders, technical, Tiny Tots. teens; in other words,all age groups. And the hours are very nice. Even open on Sunday.

call first, we went one Sunday and there were not many there - lots of fun, (our flight was cancelled and had to wait 2 days to get out staying at hotel) following Sunday went back on return trip and there was a huge birthday party and not much room for the 5-15 year olds to jump - basically had to just stay on their own trampoline (and lots of people jumping 2-3 on one when switching the guy working wasn't watch well they needed more than just him with the number of people there).
