Praia da Tocha

Reviewed By Fraser000

We come from Nor Cal, which has some of the best Beaches in US. Tocha Beach rivals our best with its long seeping sands, few people, raw ocean power, clean water, and pretty good shells. Although it wasn't surfable when we went, apparently its good for that too. Make sure to time it to catch the sunset, bring some wine, and head down the beach in either direction from the boardwalk street. We went in shoulder season and maybe that is important too.

Put into a green environment who gives the visitors the possibility to have a nice swim and a coffee break next to the pool in the café, the natural pool of Ançã is open from 11h00 until 19h00 every day during summer, and is controlled by a life-guard, the water in the pool is coming from the Ançã Fountain, so for the full 100% natural. The pool has different depts. adapted for children and adults, and also a bit slippery due to the natural water supply, the only negative point is the missing car-park, but from the historic centre to the pool is only a few steps.

This private collection of motorcycles can only be viewed by appointment and is one mans personal collection. He is an enthusiastic motorcyclist with a passion for Italian motorcycles. Among his collection are some British gems like an OK Supreme of 1934, a Royal Enfield that his father rode in WW2, 1930's Panthers and a few BSA's as well. I had a great time with the owner and his friends talking about motorcycles. It is a place for the enthusiast.
