Candolim is just north of the Mandovi river and is home to Goa's most popular and well known resort and holiday village. As such, it's not a typical backpackers destination. The Candolim beach itself does not have much to offer when compared to its livelier neighbor, Calangute. However, if sunbathing and take the occasional dip is your thing then Candolim will offer you the perfect experience. One of the more interesting sights from Candolim beach is the bulk carrier ""River Princess"" which ran aground 100 metres offshore. While at the Candolim beach do not miss out the Aguada Fort. The fort was built by the Portuguese way back in 1912 for defense against the Dutch and the Maratha invaders. Candolim is aslo a very popular evening destination as it has a number of very good resteraunts and night clubs.

We had absolutely no expectations from this beach. We visited this as we were near this place (Fort Auguda). But after visiting this beach, we thanked ourselves as we might have missed such a beautiful beach. It has great scenic feeling attached to it. Good thing is not much crowded so you get to spend your own personal time here. It has amazing view of the fort as well.

This Church has really got good view around it. Its very quiet place as it remains open between 07:00 and 08:30 only. So reach during that period. Otherwise you will find it close as shown in picture also.

Very beautiful landscape and being about romance a nice hangout for young people. Lot of nice eating places also around. We had a nice time roaming around the place. A nice place to visit with friends when in Goa.

Baga has like Calangute become a popular tourist destination so the beach has become very busy especially at weekends and public holidays.lots of shacks and water sports.As you walk along towards Calangute it becomes quieter between the two Beaches.On a Wednesday it’s possible to take a boat trip to Anjuna market.You can crossto the opposite side of the creek via the Baga bridge or there are some good restaurants beside the Baga river.Plenty of lifeguards stationed or patrolling the beach so a safe environment.Very popular with domestic tourists.

Not sure why is it called a Museum however it is a private art gallery from the artist - Subodh Kerkar. It has an entrance fee before you can see the gallery. I liked some of his creativity on canvas and sculptures with modern art. Some of the arts inspired by Gandhi made of wooden spikes is interesting. Three floors full of paintings and art work from Mr. Kerkar who himself sits there. Most of the work displayed is available for Sale at a price. If you love art, it is a place I can recommend with some fresh ideas on creativity!

s really a nice place to have you in and out of Goa. It is somewhat out of traffic and inside Goa. The way or the road towards this place is cool full of trees. Not much of people you can see on the road, day time the road is good but in the night you have to take care of safety.

The Viceroy's Arch is often overlooked nowadays, but is a place of rich historical value. It was erected to welcome the Portuguese Viceroys to Goa, when Old Goa was the capital. Located between the Church of ST. Cajetan and the ferry point to Divar, it is worth a look.
The arch has a sculpture of Vasco da Gama on the side facing the river and of St. Catherine on the side towards the town. There is also an inscription by Francisco da Gama, a descendant of Vasco da Gama. One can spend around 10-15 minutes here, no entrance fees.

Aguada Fort is great place to visit during the Goa trip. This location is part of many Indian movies. The lighthouse is good. There are many photogenic points for good clicks and selfies.
