We came up the cable car in May. Although it was bright and sunny and warm, there was still plenty of snow at the top. You get a great 360 degree view of the Mountains and Valleys. Only complaint is that 18 Euros return per person seems pretty steep

Winding road gets to the pass, might be a problem to find a parking during nice summer. Cable car very modern and fast, very stable during movement, return ticket 18 euro. Big Terrace up there with sunning views and 360 Panorama with snowy peak of Marmolada in front of. Could have spent all day admiring the serenity of nature.

Ciclabile delle Dolomiti di Fiemme e Fassa

Reviewed By Travelcooking - London, United Kingdom

It was several years ago, that I spent some time both in Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme, between Cavalese and Canazei, during summer and winter. Because I’m a fan of cycling I brought my bike, for the challenge of the historical climb of the Marmolada, Pordoi and Sella pass. I was really impressed by the beauty of the landscapes and the length of this cycle path that runs continuously in both Valleys. This is really a nice place to go cycling. I Always like to come back here!

Starting from Canazei, one of the cable cars will take you to the starting point. The path has glorious views and it is quite easy, except for a steep section at the end, that is not dangerous but has to be negotiated with care. The path end conveniently close to an inn and right at the bus stop that takes you back to Canazei (timetables available from the tourist office)

Rifugio Boe

A FANTASTIC family-run rifugio. The AV2 is mostly full of great rifugios, but we thought this was the best. We arrived during a hale storm and were briskly looked after once we arrived by drying our gear and whisking us into our rooms. Later we enjoyed some great meals and the company of the other hikers and the proprietors. The father is an international mountain guide and ski instructor. He and his family radiated a warm welcome. They had some great suggestions about nearby sunset and morning hikes.
I highly recommend hiking Piz Boe in the morning before the first Gondola arrives and the mass of day hikers arrive. The view of the Dolomites and Marmolada are awesome.
This is a truly authentic mountain experience Rifugio. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our visit to this small but creative Museum today - congratulations to Andrea and his colleagues who have created this very evocative collection of mountain warfare memorabilia from WW1
There are some fascinating exhibits here, from soldiers' writings to actual munitions used in the conflict, plus many supporting original graphics and printed items
Certainly, the further translation of explanatory labels into English would be very helpful - at present, these are only available in German & Italian. However, this does not detract from the overall impact. The extensive book shop & gift area is also full of interesting items
Well worth a visit during your trip!

The decor on this house is over the top, gingerbread, alpine, murals, it has it all. It is really a shop, a metzgerei (butcher or maybe processed meat), as I recall, and we did not go in, not needing anything on that line. Definitely worth a picture, close to the church, but nothing is far away!
