January 6, 2022 Jacquiline Delozier

Majorca has many beach towns, but if you like your sunny holiday served with a touch of history on the side, you should definitely consider Calvia. Homes and churches date from the 17th century (and earlier), and there are even the remains of a Roman villa.

Excellent place to spend a couple of hours. Went with two children, aged 12 and 10 who had a blast. Was a little concerned initially that the course would be too tough for our younger child but he managed fine and was very proud when finished. Really reasonably priced for what the park offers. We went back for a second visit and probably would have gone again if we had been staying longer!

A fabulous large sandy bay with all the amenities - beach beds, sun shades, restaurants, bars, water sports, etc. Areas are protected for swimming. Yachts/ motor cruisers gather here to Bob gently in the clear blue waters. Entering the water is a gentle shelf. Stop & look around. This place is beautiful!

We had two different groups recommend a day sail to the caves here. Good advice--a lovely sheltered cove, quiet, and the caves were great for exploring. I have a feeling this place is HAPPENING when the weather's warm, but for us it was a gorgeous day on the boat and in the caves. Very cool rock carvings.

Got a great deal with our TUI reps so got unlimited rides for €27 for adults €20 for the kids. Got a taxi from Santa Ponsa for only €9 so was cheap there was loads for the kids to go on so they were very happy, crazy golf took ages because there were so many people playing but was 18 holes and a laugh. There is a soft play area for the kids they are given a vest with a number on the staff take your number so you can leave them for an hour and a half in a safe environment so you can enjoy the sun and a drink with partner that was cool. I don’t recommend the snack shack food wasn’t very nice bit expensive and cold. All in all we had a good day and when you go In the crazy house there is a fab photographer to take your picture and they are good €7 each, gift shop is a tad expensive we picked up 2 teddy’s of the main attraction for €64 but they are memories to keep forever.

Western Water Park

We visited on our last day of holiday, we had a fab time. Being high season some of the queues were a bit crazy and I’m not entirely sure that the queue jump is run fairly on some of the rides, we didn’t get fast pass added on as it had already cost a lot for the tickets, I think it was going to be around another 64 euros for fast pass for 4 of us. We took our own food and drink, they have plenty of lockers which do require a deposit of I believe 10 euros and also a fee that they keep of 5 euros. The lockers are a decent size though so we had one between the 4 of us. **Just a little tip, the floors and fake grass are extremely hot so wear water shoes that you can keep on or you will burn the soles of your feet! They sell them in the shop there, we’d bought some before holiday but stupidly left them at the hotel that day!** Will definitely go back here if we ever return to Majorca
