Every year my daughter’s school organises 'a surprise transport' to take the Year 12s for a final picnic. This year we organised a Harley ride from Yarra Junction to Healesville for 15 Year 12 students. John and the guys were very efficient and friendly - even waiting down the road to make a well-timed ceremonial entrance which thrilled the entire school. The kids were then taken on a road trip towards Lilydale and then Healesville, travelling the scenic route through the Yarra Valley Wineries. Each of the students was provided with an appropriate jacket and helmet with a speaker that allowed them to talk to the rider. The class described the trip as 'fantastic', 'exciting', 'cool' and could not stop talking about it. If you are looking for an exciting and original way of doing some sightseeing I could not recommend them highly enough -there are also side-cars which some students rode in and enjoyed.

Bounce Inc Trampoline Park Blackburn North

BOUNCE is a world where the wall becomes the floor, a slam-dunk is within your grasp and the rules of gravity no longer apply. It's packed with lots of things to do with kids and the family. BOUNCE takes the rush of getting airborne and adds a bunch of new dimensions - from aerial manoeuvres to slam dunking, wall running and dodgeball warfare. The best part is it doesn't matter if you're under 5 or an action sports junkie - you're never too old or too young to have an awesome time. With more than 100 interconnected trampolines housed within huge, colourful spaces at a growing number of locations around Australia, BOUNCE is a spring-loaded urban playground with a wide range of things to do with kids; where hard surfaces are replaced with circus-grade sponge, giant air bags and Springs. The rush of BOUNCE is infectious. Look around and everyone's buzzing, whether they're running up The Wall, launching into the Big Bag or loosening up in the Free Jump arena. It can be as easy or as challenging as you like - a training ground for aerial sports acrobatics, a place to kick back and look out over the action, or just a hard-core form of exercise that lets you burn energy without noticing you're in the middle of a cardio workout. And our friendly staff are always there to offer safety tips and show you a few moves along the way. Check out the session times and book yourself in. JOIN THE FREE-JUMPING REVOLUTION!

The Sanctuary is a gem for the community as it is a haven for walking, resting, playing and watching.
We had annual Friends Luncheon in June with the BLS Advisory Committee. A wonderful place cared and supported by community and City of Whitehorse.
I am the chairperson BLSAC since 2008 and it is a privilege to be involved.

This Park can be easily accessed via the trail that begins from Main Street in Blackburn which means it's easy to find. This walking trail is lovely - quite delightful and you get to meeting lots of other walkers, particularly those waling with dogs. (dogs on lead please). You'll come across those lovely little 'flocks' of ducks that squander around in small groups and expect you to give way to their journey.
Such a quiet and peaceful place. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking. Pick up your dogs poop please.

Blacks Walk Reserve

Black's Walk is essentially the section closest to Middleborough Road but the walk really starts at Blackburn Road and winds through Furness Park, across Main Street, through Kallang Reserve and then to Blacks Walk reserve. It is Australian bush land along a small creek and famous for bell Birds for which the area gets its name.

Great remnant bushland that transports you out of the city and into nature. It features towering trees and native bushland. Various entry points include John Holland Crt, bell st or larch st near the kindergarten. It also features a meandering creek and 3 great Playgrounds. I like to visit here after shopping at North Blackburn. Also a great place to bring the dog.

Morton Park

Reviewed By platypus150 - Melbourne, Australia

While much of Mortoin Park seems devoted to commuter car parking and organised sport (football and cricket ovals), it does have a nice little playground on Central Road at its Eastern end. The playground is shaded with huge old trees. There is also a cycle path through here and information about the Heidelberg School artists who worked in this area.
