Lac Pavin is a very deep lake, clear (but not quite as clear as once it was) blue water formed in a volcano crater near Besse. It is a beautiful and relaxing walk. In the lake are trout, artic char and minnows, with ducks and other wildlife. If you travel anti-clockwise from the restaurant, you continue nearer the lake level. You can get about 2/3rds of the way round with a pushchair with ease. The last part rises steeply and is littered with rocks and outcrops, and the path is crossed by many streams without Bridges and some without boundaries! You can navigate it by carrying a pushchair (we've done it) but it's not easy and you would need a third person to supervise any loose children. You are likely to get muddy feet in this last part even if it has been hot.its in the shade all the way round, and you could always turn back halfway.

The thrill of doing the zip wire was amazing and me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the experience.
It goes right down the mountain and across the lake and is unlike anything I've experienced before - brilliant!
The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and very assuring, which was very important for my girlfriend who was unsure if she wanted to do the zip wire.
It could be even better though: over 30 euros per person is possibly over priced for a 1 minute ride. Perhaps something to show that you completed the ride would help justify the price, like a certificate or a badge or something like that.
Much more advertising is needed for this - we found out about it through family had done it before but otherwise only saw one sign for it on our way into Super Besse.
We also struggled to find the ticket office - more signs needed.
Highly recommended as an experience but it could be even better!

Sortie de besse, direction la cascade, faîtes au moins 2 km pour trouver 4 places de parking et enfin se diriger très facilement sur cette belle cascade

activité très sympa , pour petits et grands , bon rapport qualité/prix personnel agréable et de bonnes explications, après avoir lu quelques commentaire je voudrais juste dire qu'il n'y a aucun risque si vous respectez les consignes de sécurité , chacun peut aller à son rythme, beaucoup mieux et plus sécurisée que celle du Mont-Dore

Quel professionnalisme pour un premier contact téléphonique, disponibilité, explications, cours réservés pour mon fils, grande écoute ce n'est pas le cas de ESF.... évolution 2 à découvrir sans hésitation, laisser tomber ESF.... merci à vous pour votre sérieux , disponibilité et réactivité.

The walk to the Cascades De Chiloza from the centre of Besse is circular and takes around 1.5 to 2.0 hours. It is well sign posted and the cascades are nice (not necessarily spectacular), definitely worth the walk. We went in early September and the view of the cascade was somewhat obscured by the leaves on the trees, and they might be more spectacular later in the year especially after a period of sustained rainfall. You need good walking shoes as the area around the cascades is heavily wooded and the path is quite uneven with rocks and tree roots, and there is a fairly steep climb up (or down depending upon your route) some steep wooden steps with sometimes rickety hand rails. Any doubts about where to go to start the walk, speak to the tourist office in Besse.

Un accueil non seulement souriant sympa et fun et tout cela associe à un professionnalisme au top.
Mon VTT était prêt comme convenu, pas de perte de temps, il m'est confie donc à moi les pistes.
Matériel top, pneus nickel, transmissions parfaite, freins parfaits, suspensions très biens, un vtt Team qui m'a apporté totale satisfaction.
Une super demi journee de descente
Loueur au top du top à tous niveaux, a bientot!
