The museum is in a restored villa in the center of Belluno. The restoration of the old villa is in it self worth the tour. The museum is mostly about painting by artists from the area and not much about anything else. So to me that is a bit disappointing.

This is a beautiful building in the heart of Belluno, a lovely little town often overlooked by tourism. The palace was built 600 years ago and housed the government of Venice "rectors", whose statues are on displays. It is a very light venetian gothic building which makes use of trifore and multiform as windows. This and the local squares are worth a visit and a stroll.

The Palazzo Fulcis is a good example of XVIII century architecture. A noble family residence for centuries , it has now become a museum which hosts works of art . But what strikes most are the beautiful stucco ceilings in pink and green and the many rooms where the family used to lived and the wide dancing hall. Recommended

Porta Rugo

Reviewed By fi_decorso - Milan, Italy
