Campbell Hill - Highest Point in Ohio

Reviewed By 388pattir

We set out to hit the high point on our travels... located this one on the campus of the Ohio Hi - Point Career Center.. the gates (walk thru and drive) now stay open til dusk all week.... the high point is located between 2 Bldg with a flag pole marking the spot. Make sure you take your certificate located inside the sign in log . What we didn’t know and a big shout out to Robert Walker, was that this site is also the original site of the 664th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron that maintained a Cold War early warning radar! There is free museum located near the street marked Welcome Center, it’s filled with memorabilia of days gone by for the crew and staff.... a definite ‘must see’... we sent a couple of hours talking with Robert.... Future add ons- a bigger museum for the radar site and a guard station.... all to be completed with donations.
