Great park, it has multiple areas for you to grill, picnic, wade, hang on the beach, trails to walk, rocks to climb on. It was a beautiful, we went all the way to the back of the park for a picnic, then moved to the beach area for the grandsons to play in the water. The park is very clean and the people visiting seemed very friendly and picked up after themselves.

Naturescaping Wildlife Botanic Gardens

I often visit this peaceful collection of demonstration gardens, not only to glean ideas but to observe the birds and just relax. Each demo garden is designed towards a different garden style yet still provide for local birds, bees, butterflies. The paths are either wood-chip or gravel and can accommodate wheelchairs. Do wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a camera or use your phone camera to collect garden ideas. This place offers interest year round as the garden changes with the seasons. It is an educational garden and good for old and young, couples, families, or solo visits. It's wonderful that it is free admission - other places might charge. If you enjoy gardening I highly recommend this place. Parking available at CASEE center adjacent to gardens.
Information from the website: "The Wildlife Botanical Gardens are a cohesive blend of specialty theme gardens, spread over three acres in Southwest Washington. The gardens, and devoted gardeners, demonstrate and teach gardening concepts that attract birds, butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife to residential gardens. Come visit the Wildlife Botanical Gardens year-round and enjoy the unique beauty each season has to offer!

Enjoy strolling through the pathways of nine theme gardens and get ideas for your own home garden. Many plants are identified - look for labels at the base of large shrubs or trees, and in front of many smaller plants. The gardens are open daily, year-round dawn to dusk, for self-guided tours. There is no admission fee."

Quiet for campers, with large sites nicely spaced, rustic and clean. Tall trees and good dappled light everywhere--you won't get a tan but you're not in a dark forest, either.

The lake offers fishing. Hiking trails are all around and so are equestrian trails. Cabins are available for those without tents or an RV, and the restrooms have showers.

One of the best for camping we've seen yet in Washington.

My daughter and I happened upon this delightful spot as we drove from Portland to Seattle. We enjoyed delicious red wine along with a chacutterie plate and baked brie. This was plenty of food for two. The brie was surprisingly good since we took a chance on its special preparation: brown sugar glaze with amaretto...yum

We met with the owner, a lovely lady Michele Bloomquist while enjoying a tasting. She was helpful in describing the WA wines and what to expect
A favorite of ours was their 2012 Muscat a different and interesting wine. She described as using the same grapes and process as Muscato ( which I dislike as it's sickly sweet) However she adds no sugar. Turns out a wonderful unusually tasting dry wine.

Came here for a wedding. Beautiful buildings for a ceremony of roughly 200 people. Went early to sample the wines in a tasting room next door. Destiny talked us through the offerings she and Dan made at the family farm started over 100 years ago. Interesting version of their Apple wine and I loved the rose . Great introduction to an evening of fun at the wedding.
