Bathinda Lake

A medium sized artificial Lake at a corner of Bathinda city. Probably the source of water for adjacent power plant. May be a good time pass for local people but nothing special. Boating facility is there with few joy ride for kids at adjacent Park. An option for taking evening snacks at open air. The lake side park & garden should be better maintained. Nothing more to say.

Qila Mubarak

Reviewed By arka_ad - Kolkata (Calcutta), India

This is one of the oldest fort in Punjab. The fort is famous for its connection with Razia Sultana, the first lady ruler of Delhi, as she was imprisoned here for a part of her life.
The fort is situated at centre of Bathinda city covering huge area within congested locality with narrow approach road. Inside of the fort is well maintained by ASI though it seems that outer part deserve some more care to cover up age mark.
Two historic Gurudwara situated within the fort area & attract lot of people from religious point of view. Excellent view of city is available from old Gurudwara situated at the top of fort. This place is a popular point in Bathinda considering its historical & religious appeal.

Bathinda Fort

Reviewed By DelhiBaby - Washington DC, District of Columbia

The fort is impressive in size and strength but there's only a lone explanatory sign, no museum, and nearly all of the areas outside the central courtyard are closed off. The courtyard in turn is mostly populated with locals taking a break from the chaos outside the fort gates (there's no admittance fee or visitor control). In itself, the fort is not a compelling reason to visit Bathinda. There are numerous other forts around India that make for better tourist experiences.
