Bellevue Baptist Church

Reviewed By ChanEvan - Memphis, Tennessee

Bellevue offers year-round family-oriented activities in a Christian environment. The huge campus has evolved into a small City.

Getting to know people & making friends with like interests is easy. Bellevue is not a place where people head for the doors immediately after the final Prayer. The atmosphere is one of support & uplifting others.

The Parenting & Singles classes have been particularly valuable, as amazing Leaders draw those who want to be proactive & live their best life.

The featured Outreach annual event is the Singing Christmas Tree. The number of people involved in the production reached 1,000 this year. The presentation was mesmerizing, the storyline & score brilliant. Opening night this year exceeded last year’s attendance by 1,000!

Bluff City Escape Rooms

Fully interactive fun for the whole family, groups of friends, or team-building activities! Find clues and solve puzzles to "escape" one of the themed rooms before time runs out!

Reviewed By SirDrAaron - Memphis, Tennessee

I do a lot of escape rooms. A lot. Too many, some would say. My accountant, for instance. After doing more than 30, I have found that escape room businesses that create their own rooms from scratch are generally much more fun than those that buy their rooms. The Bluff City team are great at creating their own rooms. I've done them all, now, and I can safely say that there is nothing more fun to do in Bartlett. They put effort and heart into their rooms, and it shows.

Don't take your date to a movie. That's lame. You're lame for considering it. Take them to an escape room, and see if they have the skills to be useful to you when the world inevitably falls into chaos.

Meddlesome Brewing Company

Local brewery situated next to Shelby farms park providing quality craft beers and a family friendly atmosphere.

Reviewed By jeff48920 - Pomona, IL

This new brewpub serves up only the best in craft beer and craft non alcoholic sodas (cream Ale and Root Beer). Award winning brewers, Ben and Ritchie, have teamed up to bring a new destination to Cordova Tennessee. Within sight of one of the most complete recreation destinations in Western Tennessee (Shelby Farms), these guys and their families put together a tasting room with high end decor (in the Steampunk tradition), transformative beers, all in a family friendly down to earth laid back package.
There are usually seven house made beers on tap and each one is pure malt nirvana expertly blended with just the right yeasts and hops. Do yourselves a favor and stop in ASAP.

Andy B's Bowling Center

Reviewed By MScroggins - Bartlett, Tennessee

Andy B's Bowling Center is a fun place to take the family. The bowling alleys are top notch and they also have many video games for everyone to play. We took our grandson and had such a great time bowling. We selected the Halloween theme among many options on the scoreboard. Our grandson loved seeing the Halloween cartoon characters come up ea. time after we bowled. They would make a cute remark about each frame on how we did. There is also a really nice snack bar area too. We look forward to taking him again in the future.

Memphis Zoo

YaYa, a female Giant Panda that calls the Memphis Zoo home, enjoys a sunny day.

I'll admit when I read the reviews of this place I was skeptical. But it did not disappoint. The buildings are old and need updating but they overcome that with the quality and quantity of animals. The layout is great. It was packed parking (good Friday) but once we got in it did not feel crowded. We like to visit zoos when we travel and this is one of the better ones we have visited. We will go back.

Shelby Farms Park

Reviewed By Laurie T - Lino Lakes, Minnesota

The dog park is huge and well used. The recent wet weather meant that there was lots of muddy walkways and some treacherous paths. We saw dozens of dogs and owners here and only saw ONE OTHER DOG OWNER with a dog poop bag in their possession. Apparently it's the norm here to just let the poop be. Therefore there was poop everywhere. Never been to a dog park where this was okay behavior. As in many other dog parks, too many people ignore their nasty, aggressive dogs, letting them run off while they don't pay attention.

This place is fantastic for a night or afternoon of fun. It is really big and has a private party room too! We booked our 10 year old's birthday party and all the kids wanted to come back soon. Friday nights they have canvas painting. Lots of ceramics to choose from. I loved the selection and the friendly staff rocked. I highly recommend you check them out.

The free concert series here during the summer is amazing. I hope the people of Memphis can appreciate how fortunate they are to have the support of weekly, or more often, concerts from top-rate artists. If you live in Memphis and haven't been, GET OUT THERE! We used to have a much more vibrant music scene in Kansas City, but local apathy has killed anything like this. GO! Drag your sorry butts in from the burbs. It's not that scary.
