Kehen Temple

Reviewed By tedjasudu - Bali, Indonesia

Beautiful temple 13th century. Little bit far from main touristic ways. Traditional architecture with nice views. Interesting stone figures and carving on gates. No security guys looking for every your step. Big banyan tree overhanging the temple. No people inside and it makes this place very misterious. On enterace you will be asked for small donation for temple up to you. Please not give less than 10k IDR for 1 person. Also you can take sarong here for use or just bring your own. Now only enterace near the central stairs open. If you like balinese temples - good to visit this one.

Mount Batur

Hikers will enjoy climbing this volcano, and the rewards of the views into the crater and of the crystal clear waters of Lake Batur. (Note: visibility may be limited during the rainy season, Dec.-March.)

Penglipuran

Reviewed By 242carltonr - Toronto, Canada

We visited here one afternoon and we loved this place. It was very quiet with a few bus tours. The village was clean and very unique. We walked through a number of the yards in the village and we found the locals were very hospitable and friendly. We chatted with a few of them. Each home usually sells something which is one of the ways they support the village. We bought some snacks from one and souvenirs from another. We chatted with one villager doing bonsai in his yard. We love how unique, quaint and clean this village is. The even have some "home stay" units where you can stay for the night in the village. I heard they were about ~ IDR 375,000. Depending on your tastes, staying for a night might could be an option to experience the village first hand. Will highly recommend for a visit.

Mt. abang was not famous like mt batur, typically mountain with forest mt abang give something different than mt batur. Its more high than mt batur , approximately takes 3,5 hours walk to go the top. If you foreigner you need some guide even the path was very clearly. We start at 12.30 am to chase the sunrise. Want something different , try mt abang than mt batur

Tibumana Waterfall

Reviewed By agussukertha - Gianyar Regency, Indonesia

Fresh feeling because the waterfall is very calm and the natural situation is so beautiful around the waterfall. The way to reach this place is by paying a ticket for IDR 15,000, then passing through a temple. After that, go down quite a lot of stairs with a natural situastion that is so calming to the heart with bridges that have been made by the local community to make it easier for tourists to visit here. Other that, when you are thirsty, you can buy a drink along the way before reaching this tibumana waterfall.

Lake Batur (Danau Batur)

This crystal clear lake, some 65 meters deep, was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption.

Reviewed By xxcbxx2 - Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

We stayed in a villa overlooking the lake and my absolute favourite activity of the trip was to float in the pool and look out over the lake. It's the largest crater lake in Bali and it's just so beautiful. On one of the nights at the restaurant we did have the fish from the Lake for dinner, a type of Tilapia.

Luwak Civet Coffee Farm

Location: Sekardadi, Kintamani Bali,Indonesia. Just 5 minute before best view point of the Lake and Volcano Batur.

Reviewed By Kiwisonali - Auckland, New Zealand

Nestled in a shady green hideaway, this was a great relief from the sweltering heat of Bali. Guide was very knowledgeable about the Luwak Coffee and showed us how it was manually roasted and ground. We also had a taste of a large variety of tea and coffees and ended up buying quite a few bags. They use palm sugar for their chocolates, as opposed to regular sugar.
