Pueblo magico - truly is !!! There are different shades of blue from the lightest to dark dark blue . We took a boat with tour guy which cost about 260 peso it took about 2.5 h all around lake with few stops when we could jump in the water and enjoy this beautiful place . Water is sweet which made the experience even better:) , would highly recommend it . We stayed near Playa del Carmen and it took us 3.5 h drive , the best is to early morning so can make most of it . Plenty shops and restaurants around to get some snacks or food.

Cenote de la Bruja

This is a very cool spot if you think about it. The fresh water is way down there under the earth and coming up here, to form a lake. A lake! It is imposing to see the shallow water and the rocks and plants and then suddenly it drops into blackness! Best seen from a kayak; we used one from Hotel Carolina (the place to stay) just a few properties away and paddled over very early on glass like water.

It was great visiting the inside of the fort. We had taken pictures of the outside but decided to pay the entrance fee. There is a small museum inside which provides the history of the area and why the fort was built. Wonderful views

Cenote Azul

Reviewed By chimerock8 - Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

we came here after a tour around the lagoon and we were amazed with this place all around. The Cenote is 90 meters deep, you can rent a life vest to feel secure and go swimming in it. The restaurant has delicious food that goes accordingly with the price and portion.
