Masada Fortress

Reviewed By grip652 - Memphis, Tennessee

The Masada fortress is impressive with its water system and other features that made it a comfortable refuge for kings and then after a period of abandonment, the fleeing Jews. It's height was not enough to keep the enterprising Romans away, and when the Jews saw they would soon be overcome, they decided they would rather die by their own hands. The views from the fortress are far, the walk down takes about 12 hour.
