Our return to Atlanta so decided to take detour to the Laurel and Hardy Museum. What a great little find. Very nice welcome greeted us and chat while signing the visitors book. This beautifully interesting museum full of memorabilia of their years together. Nice little theatre in back were you can sit and watch their movies. A must if passing thru. We both really enjoyed.

This park is a great place to have the family out on a cool day. Whenever the fall gets here it's especially nice to be able to enjoy the amenities that are offered which include some play equipment. Often there are also many small concerts throughout the year which are coordinated by the Columbia County Arts Council. Check it out.

Masters

Nothing quite feels like the opening of the spring season like when the worlds top professional golfers head to the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club to compete in the Masters Tournament. As an attendee to the annual event you can watch these athletes compete against one another on arguably the most beautifully designed yet challenging gold courses in the world. If you want to be a spectator, tickets are extremely difficult to find, however you may have more luck trying to get into the events practice rounds, which require you to enter a lottery nearly a year before the event is actually held.

My son and I were here for the final round. Experiencing the Masters has been a life long bucket list item of mine, and having done it, I must say it exceeded my expectations in every regard. And it wasn’t just the condition of the course (which was much hillier than you can imagine from watching on TV) or the exciting/highly competitive final round that we witnessed, it was so much more: the friendliness and helpfulness of every staff member and volunteer, the well thought out and executed methods for getting the patrons into, around and out of the site, the extraordinary viewing areas on the course and in the practice areas, the low prices for refreshments and well placed concession stands, free parking and free professional photos of patrons posing in front of the iconic clubhouse, the thundering roar of the crowd, et al. My son remarked that it reminded him a lot of Disney World. I responded back “Except this is real”. Incredible!!!

Euchee Creek Park

This is a wonderful place to go for a nice long walk! We are mainly there to let the kids run around or get some exercise, but we see people walking their dogs, playing frisbee or soccer, fishing in the small pond along the trail. Part of the trail is closed now, I assume so they can further it, but it's still definitely worth a visit!

International Disc Golf Center

Reviewed By Paul T - Watkins Glen, New York

If you aren't a disc (frisbee) golfer, this is probably not the destination for you. BUT, if you ARE a disc golfer, this place is absolutely terrific. Three world class golf courses, a relatively small, but nicely appointed pro shop/museum/hall of fame, and excellent staff to assist you. We were especially stoked that they had a very nice, totally air conditioned, sitting room where our gals could comfortably hang out while we banged out a round of golf. This facility represents the latest in disc golf courses: professionally designed and developed, with no pesky civilians in the way like in the more common courses at public parks. We're already planning a trip back down next year from NYS, with several players from our local club: yes, it is well worth the trip. It is in the literal middle of nowhere, however, so if you're looking for activities/meals besides disc golf, plan on staying at a nearby city. And with 3 great courses, it is recommended you have at least 2 straight days of golf there. Make sure you check their schedule prior to arrival, as they have formal tourneys taking place fairly often (understandably), that can prevent recreational play while the tourney is taking place on one or more of the 3 courses.

Bubbles or Not

Bubbles or Not can help you get certified or plan your next dive adventure. We offer local scuba diving, trips to the Caribbean, training, tech diving, and much more.

Reviewed By Lisa W - Harlem, Georgia

Bubbles or Not is a phenomenal dive shop with a professional and fun staff! Whether you are new to diving, or experienced, they have something to offer for anyone! My husband and I took our Advanced Open Water certification, and Nitrox certification through them and they made sure we were not only comfortable and safe, but that we had fun! We have gone on two of their scheduled dive trips, one to Key Largo and one to Blue Grotto, and had a great time. In addition, all of the staff at Bubbles or Not make you feel like family as soon as you walk through the door. They truly seem more interested in creating safe and fun divers, and not with making money. We are already scheduled for two more dive trips, one a shark dive in Florida, and the other a week long trip to Bonaire. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! I recommend anyone in the CSRA, or visiting, to stop by this store and see what it is all about!

Evans Town Center Park

Reviewed By rc86442rc - Evans, Georgia

This park has it all. This is a great entertainment venue with the Lady A Amphitheater as the centerpiece. There is a splash fountain and HUGE playground for the kids that is soft rubber matted under the entirety. Also has dog park for your four-legged friends, a walking trail surrounding the park, bike rentals, clean bathrooms, and a short walk across the street to the library. Do yoga on the green, read a book in the gazebo, watch the kids have a blast, or walk your furry friends.
Fabulaous family destination in the heart of Evans.
