Aldie is an unincorporated community located between Chantilly and Middleburg in Loudoun County, Virginia. Aldie's historic heart is the Village of Aldie that is located on the John Mosby Highway (U.S. Route 50) in a gap between the Catoctin Mountains and Bull Run Mountains, through which the Little River flows. Aldie traditionally serves as the gateway to Loudoun Valley and beyond.

We stopped in over the weekend on a rainy Saturday. We were headed north to another winery but route 15 was closed down due to an accident. Luckily we were just a mile from QG's. We had been to the brewery once before but not the winery. Small charming log cabin like tasting room. 6 wines to taste with one "special" extra tasting. Wine was pretty good. We especially liked the Red wine aged in bourbon barrels. We found a quiet table outside under the roof and ordered a pizza and a couple bottles of their table wine. The pizza was crazy good. The crust is thick yet fluffy and crusty. It paired wonderfully with the wine. The location is very convenient and has lots of room for picniking. We will definitely head back to enjoy this beautiful little oasis soon.

The tour is very informative but informal, it feels like a friend of yours is showing you around. And thats a good thing. The staff is very friendly, service oriented and know their stuff.
The whiskey is amazing. They have samplers available. Stop in for a drink. You wont be dissapointed.

Visited end of January on a rainy Sunday. Their vines are young so they do use grapes from other VA growers. Chardonnay very good as are most of their other wines. They are pricey with a wine tasting costing $14! Wine members get free tasting. Wines are expensive too. They offer food plates and sit down tastings which is a refreshing change.

The Sporting Library is housed in a wonderful building at the west end of Middleburg, and is home to an array of astounding, wonderful books for research and just learning about fox hunting, fishing and country pursuits. Art exhibitions are regularly held and rotated among different artists works. Don't miss it if you are in the area!

The brewery, winery and pizza place are all at one property -- just three separate buildings. Brewery with a few snacks in one building which has terrible acoustics. Concrete floor; had music blasting on Sunday afternoon; guy with a dog on his leash at the bar; and a couple that cut in front of us in line to put their toddlers bottom on the bar. Beer is expensive. Almost $10 for the smaller pour (6 oz I think). Husband liked the Octoberfest beer and not so much the black IPA. Has a back deck and then a large yard with benches. Next door is the winery with a patio with several chairs. Third building is the wine tasting. You can take your beer anywhere on the property. The pizza was good next door in the winery. There are other breweries in the area that don't charge so much.

We were driving by on the way home and saw the sign that said 'mill open' and 'grinding today'. Of course we pulled in! This old mill is well preserved! The guy that did our tour of the history was quite knowledgable! Excellent in fact! The guy that was running the mill (they were grinding corn for demonstration purposes) was also incredible and super informative! It was an awesome addition to our weekend away!!!!

WE LOVED IT! We are only upset that we never stopped sooner. Wally and everything he has in the shop is amazing. The hot salsa and pickles that we bought are insane. We are new regulars for sure!

This winery looks nice (inside & outside) with many beautiful views!
The servers were nice and friendly. We enjoyed hanging out here and trying the wines.
Some wines were very good, and the some were very bland and average.
The one drawback was the tastings were a little pricey along with wines and snacks...compared to most places. If they lower there prices by a few dollars, then it would be just right...
Overall a worthwhile visit...and we curious to return again.

One of our favorite wineries in NoVa. They make the Norton wines very well, try the Estate Bottled, or Shitz and Giggels. Spacious and clean indoor area, even nicer outdoor area with tables and chairs in sun or shade. They have little pavilions good for parties also. Clean and sharp appearance all the way around.
