One night we watched an elderly gentleman totter up to the Fountain with his glass. He filled it and went back up the steps to lean up against the wall. He savoured it and went back two more times. The Fountain is an interesting site because not too often in the middle of a town do you find this type of a Fountain that is open to everyone and free of charge. Yes, it smells. Sulfur lingers. We had a somewhat shortened visit because a memorial service was about to begin. We were very impressed by how well maintained they kept the Cathedral. The roof paintings are vivid and well worth taking time to crane your neck and study them. The Cathedral is not as gloomy as many we've visited. Whitebeard83

We stopped in shortly before the store closed for lunch. Nonetheless, the staff was super helpful and accommodating in addressing our tourists requests. We ended up purchasing a variety of pastas and sauces, (which they helped us match up). We've now eaten most of our purchases (we froze some packets), and have thoroughly enjoyed everything we've tasted.

Remnants of Roman aqueduct that brought fresh water from the nearby hills to the centre of Acqui. What remains is worth examining as examples of roman engineering. There are information boards that explain the techniques of how the aqueducts were constructed.
The remnants stand in a park along the river and is easy to access from the town centre. There's a nicely paved walking and bike path that will take you four kilometers along the river. It's a lovely and peaceful walk or cycling path.

Villa Ottolenghi-Wedekind is a historical house built in the first half of '900 in the hills of Acqui Terme by Count Arturo Ottolenghi and his wife Herta Wedekind zu Host. At the final result worked some of the most prominent artist of the time as architects Marcello Piacentini and Gio Ponti, the landscape artist Pietro Porcinai and artists like Adolfo Wildt, Libero Andreotti, Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Arturo Martini, Venanzo Crocetti and Fortunato Depero. Despite being one of the hottest days of the year we had a lovely tour of the villa and grounds with a wine tasting at the end. Our tour guide Chiara spoke excellent English and proved highly knowledgeable of the venue and its history, thoroughly charming and professional, she really brought to life the history of the place and the family. Aside from the beautiful modernist architecture and Gardens and incredible views it is worth visiting just to see the incredible ironwork and metal detailing with some of the most beautiful and playful locks and door mechanism I have ever seen. Look out for the little dragon holding the gate open!

The beautiful church of ''San Pietro'' is a little gem in the city of Acqui Terme.
What sets it apart and makes it unique is the beautiful, ancient stone facade.
Bello is also the interior, enhanced by numerous works of art, but personally I felt in love with the beautiful Romanesque façade, a church really very beautiful and scenic.

This is the first stop of the itinerary at Centro Benessere LAgo delle Sorgenti and is definitely a pool that you want to go back to. That Fountain for your Cervical is phenomenal.... drops water on your neck and back-head for healing your tension in the area... such a relief!!. Bubles everywhere and a temperature that really make you feel cuddled by thse bubbles. Fantastic

La chiesa è vicinissima all'ufficio informazioni di Acqui, per cui un salto ne vale la pena. La facciata è romanica e all'interno c'è qualche dipinto e un soffitto interessante.
