Special Nature Reserve Obedska Bara

Peaceful, serene, just beautiful! Rent a boat and challenge yourself to row in the peaceful waters, among the waterlillies. Or take a walk by the pond and watch the swan family bathe. Or have a BBQ in the shade. Or watch the birds. Or just listen to the silence. Go fishing. Breathe. Rest. Enjoy. No special equipment needed (at least in summer months), but I would recommend mosquito repellent.

The park looks great in the winter! It is wonderfully decorated, like a frozen forest or something, full of christmas lights and decorations, with many places to grab something to eat or drink while you are walking. There is a lovely ice rink as well! Great for kids!

Staro Hopovo Monastery

Reviewed By AlbertSalichs - Manresa, Spain

Staro (and Novo) Hopovo Monasteries (Old and New, in English) are two orthodox monasteries located in Fruska Gora National Park, in Vojvodina Region, in Northern Serbia. Staro Hopovo was built in 16th Century and in the middle of 18th Century was destroyed by an earthquake and i was reconstructed only a few years after. Now it is a wonderful tiny monastery with a little church. Really it is beautiful and you can walk around the place in the National Park. Only few kilometers from here, there is Novo Hopovo Church, which is surrounded by monastic residences built in 18th Century. In the middle, there is the little tiny main church, which was built in 16th Century. It is a stone building, which is charming. Very interesting and beautiful places. Reviewed By 149cherryg - Novi Sad, Serbia

Although it's autumn time of year, I want to share with you how great it is to enjoy your time at the Danube river while in Novi Sad. In the summer, you can actually swim in Danube, I prefer City beach (Strand). The water is clean and safe. Remember to come in the morning, because after 1pm it is becoming crowded and noisy. In the morning, you can enjoy in sunbathing, fish are swimming in the water with you (really!), sand is not to hot... Lot of playgrounds for kids, restaurants and caffes, fast food stands etc. Come and see :)

Dunavska Street

Reviewed By IgorMarkovic - Smederevo, Serbia

This lovely part of Novi Sad's pedestrian zone can surely be regarded as one of the symbols of this beautiful city. The fact that it has so many beautiful old buildings of different liveable colors and that it is so small and cozy makes it one of the city cites you simply have to visit. The street is always crowdy and it sometimes feels that it is the most important place in the capital of Vojvodina region. Dunavska street is most beautiful in spring, where all of the colors simply show off more. Don't miss it and don't just pass it by, take a minute and enjoy it!
