Fudge Heaven

The thing that attracted me to this establishment was the promise of “Adult Flavour” fudge. That’s a no brainer, right? C S Cowboy, Orgasmic, Baileys Irish Cream, Rum and Raisin! But, to be truthful, I went for the Vanilla Custard, which was filled with so much promise and tantalized the taste buds. And, it delivered. Smooth and flavour intensive, a delight to behold. All of the Fudge at Fudge Heaven is made with fresh butter and cream which is what gives you that great melt in the mouth flavour. You can taste to your heart’s content for free too which is helpful considering they have over 40 mouth-watering flavours to choose from. The fudge is made fresh daily on the mountain. Another locally owned establishment selling locally produced and sourced products.

Curtis Falls

Great walk to do with the family as there is a short walk or a long fun adventure walk. We took 1 and a bit hours to do the lower creek circuit. Great adventure, best track I’ve done in mount Tamborine. I have done witches falls, the knoll, the one near thunderbird park and another one that is now closed. Would recommend this track over all of them :)

It was our first time in Brisbane and we called at Mount Tamborine on a recommendation for the views mainly. We had no idea it was such a big place. We called into the Visitors Centre when we arrived and Danny helped us. He gave us a map and marked out the best walks, best activities for children and the best places for views. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. If you come to Mount Tamborine, you need a full day there at least and call into the Visitors Centre first to get all your tips!

Amazing road/walk which is completely China’s with souvenir shops, eateries, food, sweetshops, breweries, cheese shops, distillery and even clothing and a cuckoo clock shop. Walk one side, one way and then back the other. Plenty of parking too. And all on one road. Don’t forget to drive further down the mountain. Also check out the Curtis Falls Cafe and The Manor Hotel.

Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves

Welcome to the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Tours! During our tours you will experience the results of our ground-breaking conservation project, as we guide you through our spectacular purpose-built cave, filled with thousands of glowing Glow Worms! We offer the only opportunity in Queensland to see Glow Worms during the day, and over the course of 30 minutes, you’ll meet a Glow Worm up close and learn all about their life cycle and behaviour. Our cave features a colony of native Mt. Tamborine Glow Worms, and is part of a long-term breeding program, so your admission helps support and ensure the survival of the species in South East Queensland for future generations!

A heart-warming story in these times of species extinction and habitat loss due to land-clearing and global warming. At the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves, you can see glow worms up close while hearing all about their life cycle from an expert. It is very easy to access (no rough bush tracks or steps) on a good boardwalk through a small section of rainforest. Once inside the cave, there is a short video to help accustom eyes to the darkness then a short, flat walk into the inner cave to see the glow worms. After visiting the glow worm cave, be sure to check out the adjoining Frog Hollow which gives you the opportunity to see different species of frogs. A few steps here, but nothing onerous. Definitely a great educational experience and a wonderful opportunity to see a species that is declining in the wild.
