Definitely worth a visit when in Junagadh. Surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and facing Mount Girnar. Good for tourists but also for those who wish to learn about Indian Cultural, Architecture & Hinduism from the devotees/volunteers. You can refresh yourself at the Food Court within the Mandir grounds and absorb the tranquillity.

Madhavapur Beach

Reviewed By gururaj_bn - Bengaluru, India

In a trip with family from Somnath to Dwaraka I saw this quiet beach about an hour or more from Somnath. It is right off the highway. It is a quiet uncluttered beach, which I saw at around 10.30 am. There hawkers with gaudily decorated camels who give a camel ride at around Rs.50 to Rs.100 per person. Walking along the beach is a worthy experience, even for a busy traveller who wants to rush to the next destination.

Mahabat Maqbara

Reviewed By macedonboy - Glasgow, United Kingdom

The Mahabat Maqbara is a mausoleum of the Nawabs of Junagadh who rule Junagadh between the 18th to 20th century. The building is free to enter and is an architectural wonder. The design is a magnificent fusion of Indian and European architecture, composed of elements from Indo-Islamic, Gothic Revival and a unique Junagadh style for the minars around the mausoleum. The latter are towers but with stairs on the outside and with pavilions on three levels. The floral decorative elements all over the mausoleum are outstanding, which the multi-domed roof of different sized domes are enchanting. The number one thing to see in Junagadh.
