Looking for an outdoor escape to kick start our holidays my Mum and I went looking for an outdoor riding adventure and found Chapman Valley Horse Riding; as keen horse riders who have been riding for more than 20 years we were utterly impressed with how wonderfully well cared for the horses were, how welcoming the staff were to everyone, the commitment to safety, the excellent temperaments of the horses, and the stunning scenery! We travelled up from the Illawarra (2.5-3hrs drive) and stayed for two nights in the communal camping area close to the amenities block. Everything was very well maintained and cared for with a self check in service to adhere to social distancing requirements and fully stocked for convenience. We booked two rides during our stay; a half day (4hrs), and a 2hr ride on our second morning. Both rides were outstanding! The riding groups are small with very friendly and knowledgeable guides who take great care in matching you with the best horse to suit your riding skills and take your personal preferences into account wherever possible - I requested a tall horse and they were able to pair me up with a lovely Clydesdale cross named Lukey. On both rides the guides took into account the riding experience of each person and their preferences to arrange stretches of either trotting or cantering that suited everyone - constant smiles all around! The property is stunning and very well maintained with numerous signs to help you find your way around - something that will be very useful when we return with our own horses! To the Chapman Valley team; Connor, Jess, Hannah, Kat and Flicka, thank you all so much for all of your efforts in making it such a wonderful weekend, and especially for your patience with all of our questions! We will most definitely be back! Kind Regards, Hannah & Jackie

We have visited Hunter Valley twice now and seen probably close to twenty vineyards here. This place has been rated highly by James Halliday and for good reason, or should we say good taste. We tasted the Domaine de Binet wines and were immediately blown away by the unique tastes. Our iHop vineyard tour operator warned us this is the place where people make their most purchases. More of an prediction than warning. Left with a box of great wines: Reds Accidental Tourist, Shiraz Dolcetto, Chambourcin; Whites Le Crazy Coq; Rose Moscato. Do yourself a favor and check in. You will enjoy the wines and friendly staff who know their products.
