I booked the owl encounter pack as part of a Christmas present for my gifriend and her mam. We received a warm welcome from Mandy and Bruce (the dog) and were invited to look around the park before starting the owl encounter. We received high-quality information in a warm and friendly way about how the animals are housed, their diet and about each of their unique characteristics. It was brilliant to see these amazing animals up close and personal and to be able handle them; following Mandy's expert advice really put us at ease. We will definitely be visiting again!

The Forum Cinema Hexham

The Forum Cinema is a vibrant independent, commercial cinema and hub for film in Hexham and the Tyne Valley.

I’m regularly in Hexham and I always thought the old Forum had been replaced by Wetherspoons, so was pleasantly surprised when I noticed their film listings. I’m a huge fan of the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle and the Forum compares very favourably (though not sure what their usual programme consists of). Staff were great, kids loved it and the building is beautiful. We’ll definitely be back.

We walked from Housesteads to Steel Rigg via Sycamore Gap. We walked a mixture of the wall path and the military way. The military way is much easier underfoot but there are well marked paths whichever way you go. Some parts along the wall are very steep. Paths, stiles and fences are well maintained and good car parks which you pay for as you leave.

Online booking form really straightforward. Received a reply in less than 12 hours. Car arrived early and the driver rang my mobile number to say he had arrived and to let me know where he had parked so that we knew where to find him as it was pouring with rain. Would recommend and will use again.

A lovely walk along a well preserved section of Hadrians Wall. It is a bit up and down with some steep inclines and some sections with steps up. Gives great views across Northumberland
