The Humpback Dive Shack

Sustainable Eco-Tourism at it's finest, from our conservative wildlife interaction ethics to the ultra low emission engines powering your adventure, witness the majesty of the marine environment in the most sensitive manner possible. This includes no holding (Stingrays for example), no taking (Shells for instance) and absolutely no killing of any marine organism on any tour. We adopt a totally passive approach to our marine safaris. Our PADI Master Scuba Diving Instructor, Marine Biologist and your captain (Brian), together with his wife and PADI Divemaster (Sabine) both believe that the things you see today should still be here tomorrow. We focus on small groups, personal service, education and commitment to the preservation and enjoyment of our mutual marine resources. Brian and Sabine are trained Whale and Dolphin swimming guides and have combined three decades of experience working with the Humpback Whales. SCUBA diving, snorkeling or whale watching - put your dreams on our boat!

A look into the rich history of the Turks & Caicos Islands: museum featuring fragments of a wrecked Spanish sailing ship from the early 1500s. Learn about the history of the Turks & Caicos Islands including the Salt Industry, John Glenn splash down, Lucayan paddle and duho and more!

We visited the Turks and Caicos National Museum as part of the Hop on and Hop off Excursion on a rainy afternoon. It turned out to be the highlight of the entire excursion! A knowledgeable guide started us off with a brief introduction of the Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of Turks and Caicos, the salt mining industry, the disappearance of the Lucayans etc, There were also extensive exhibits about John Glenn's landing in Grand Turk and a gift shop shelved with reasonable souvenirs! A real gem of a museum and a must-see!

SunRay Beach

Warm, calm and clear waters make this a perfect beach for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving.

Reviewed By susan1953528791 - Oldham, United Kingdom

We have just been on the P&O Azura. and this was one of the best stops on our cruise. Sun Ray beach is located just at the end of the ships pier. The cruise centre has a number of sunbeds and parasols on the beach closest to the pier, these are free. However, these soon go and the day we were there another two cruise ships also arrived-so busy! We paid 25 dollars for two sunbeds and an umbrella, drinks were usual price -five beers for 20 dollars. Horse riding along the beach and even in the shallow sea water was available for 20 dollars. The beach is beautiful with shallow clear water just about all you could expect from the Caribbean, ideal for a swim or snorkeling. The cruise centre itself is rather small, the astronaut John Glenn splashed down nearby and has a commemoration statue and information within the centre . When we were there it was a lovely, sunny day however, if it was a dull or wet day I don't know what else would be available as the island itself is only small. Lovely beach, super sea and great people.

Gibbs Cay

Uninhabited island with some of the most beautiful beaches and the best diving sites the islands have to offer.

Reviewed By W367QYstephanies - Richmond, United States

Fun day with Captain Meat and Pablo. Even with the curfew looming (5p), we were able to swim several times, eat fresh conch ceviche, hike the trail, and the adult beverages (along with sodas/water) were plenty for our group of 5 and we made it back to the resort with time to spare. A deserted island is what we needed before heading back to the States.

My husband and I recently visited Pillory Beach at the Bohio Dive Resort in Grand Turk. We booked an excursion which included time at the beach resort and an authentic British High Tea. The staff was wonderful and met our expectations. The tea was a relaxing time where we were offered an assortment of teas and had a tiered tray of rum cake, biscuits with jam, and small sandwiches. A new experience for the both of us.

We went on a snorkeling and around the island tour of Grand Turk. It was amazing! The guys on the snorkeling portion of the tour, Jimmy and Abraham, were great! Very friendly and fun! Took us to 2 amazing snorkeling places, helped with photo taking and even caught a sand shark to allow us to touch it and take photos with it (then let it go). The tour around the island was okay....just not really that much to see. The donkeys were my highlight for that part of the tour.
