Due to Covid-19 the entrance to the cross was closed but we could see it from outside and we took pictures. It is an amazing monument that dominates Coquimbo like the Christ of Corcovado in Rio.

Across from La Serena and the end of the point is Fuerte Lambert - an old fort. No entrance fee to enter but you do get spectacular views. Lots of birds and a few seals frequent this area. A peaceful hour not to be missed!
