Bordered by the Kotorosl and Volga rivers, the historic city center of Yaroslavl is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The religious architecture is breathtaking and surreal, especially the emerald-domed Church of Elijah the Prophet and the gilded towers of the Assumption Cathedral. Numerous theaters, a philharmonic, a planetarium and a permanent circus round out the city’s art scene. Keep an eye on the time: Every hour on the hour, the proud namesake of the Monument to Bear statue gives a triumphant roar.

Ymirotvorenie - Hookah club in the historical center of Yaroslavl. We have a quiet cozy home atmosphere, without loud music. We have 2 separate playrooms with the PlayStation 4. There is always a large number of board games available. In the warm season, we have a spacious summer terrace.

The fountains are a part of a large park that is beautifully landscaped and includes a bear design in one of the flower beds. You can see the park best from the back side of the Cathedral. The statue is lovely as well. This is truly a beautiful site.

Yaroslavl was an interesting city visited by us on a River Cruise and this tour was included. Beautiful House built for the Governor in about 1820. Guide was posing as "the governor's daughter" who gave an entertaining tour which ended with a musical performance on piano, violin and cello with some dancing. Thoroughly enjoyable visit

The Yaroslavl Art Museum (YaAM) is the biggest art museum in Russian provinces. It is the only museum specializing in arts in the Yaroslavl Region. The YaAM is the winner of the first competition Window on Russia. The YaAM’s collection contains over 75,000 works of painting, drawing, decorative arts, applied arts, sculpture and numismatics.
I was in Yaroslavl' dozens of times but this first visit to its Art museum was a pleasant surprise. Nestling on the Volga river embankment among old lime trees this small XIX century mansion boasts excellent collection of Russian artists of the time. Ivan Aivazovsky, Vladimir Makovsky, Karl Bryullov, Ilya Repin, Viktor Vasnetsov, Vasily Perov, Arkhip Kuindzhi - these names may not say much to a foreigner but every Russian knows them. Anyhow, in case you're not that fond of the stuff take a look at icons collection. All in all, every visitor will find something to admire in this cozy and perfectly maintained building. There's also a charming garden behind where you may stroll for an additional fee. Very nice. Recommended.
