Our guide was awesome. He met us at our hotel in San Pancho and we followed about 25 minutes north to the small town that we pushed off from. It was just my wife and I so we got the guide all to ourselves. He was a man in his 60s we think and has lived a very adventurous life. He knew a lot about the area and kept us entertained for the 2 hour trip. It was hot being there was no wind that day, but the ocean was calm so the trip was easy. We stopped on a small secluded beach on the way back and spent 30 minutes or so exploring the beach and swimming. It was great experience and we highly recommend it.

Want an amazing experience in Bucerias? Go take a cooking class at My Mexican Kitchen. We did the seafood class with 6 other friends and what a night. We learned so much about Mexican food and some fabulous recipes in a booklet to take home. My favourite was the crab empanadas we were taught to make. Edgar was very patient with us- teaching us how to use the tortilla press and Travis was so great- putting up with our jokes and comments. This was a fabulous evening and everyone of us(and some were total non cooks) thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you Edgar and Travis for an exceptional class and helping us discover the true flavours of Mexico

Human Connections

Human Connections offers a completely unique cultural experience. We bring our guests into the vibrant neighborhoods within Bucerias that travelers rarely get to see. There, we visit three different homes and engage with local artisans, tradespeople and food vendors. We spend about an hour with each person, learning the story behind their craft and seeing the "real Bucerias" through their eyes. While you will enjoy an outstanding homemade meal and history about the area, your favorite thing about the tour will surely be the people you meet. They are simply inspiring. This is a tour about progress (not a tour about poverty) that aims to foster cultural exchange and promote local businesses, all the while providing our guests with an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This easy, beautiful garden tour and jungle walk is an amazing glimpse into a balanced, yet fragile eco system. The caretaking and preservation of these garden trails is a true labour of love. We learned the history of the garden’s humble beginnings and much about the co-existence that occurs in a natural habitat. Highly recommended.

The Rose Room Yoga Studio

The Rose Room is a beautiful open-air yoga studio within the heart of Sayulita Mexico. We offer numerous public yoga classes from challenging thoughtful vinyasa practices to sunset restorative classes. We have (sterile) manduka mats to rent:)

Reviewed By trywhat12 - Toronto, Canada

After staying in Sayulita for about a month, Rose Room was mentioned numerous times as a stand-out facility - which had been newly relocated at the Don Bonita Hotel. As a seasoned practitioner and Modo Yoga Instructor, I was truly amazed with not only the space itself but the quality of instruction and 'home away from home' feel I instantly received when walking through the door. Audra has a spicy yet authentic personality - her classes cater to both new, mature and ideally offer modifications which meet all suitable levels for a Vinyasa style of yoga. Vanessa has a hatha touch - which is remarkably similar to that of Modo Yoga. Her soft voice, tenacity for challenging the sequence and warm heart compliment the classes variance. Andrea is a firecracker - offering a sequence which not only allows you to feel great in your body, but comes from a professional-dancer's background and trained knowledge of movement. Drew offering restorative classes remind you the need to also include this style of yoga into your daily routine - especially on Sunday's to wind-down on your weekend. Mandy/Kerry, who are also guest teachers, sprinkling in an extra bonus of well sequenced classes dedicated to bringing out the best in both physical movement and ensure to incorporate a mindful practice, in addition to offering Full-Moon DJ-led classes, New Moon Flow's and multiple workshops. I again could be bias, as I have not tried any other yoga studio's in Sayulita, however Rose Room offered everything I was searching for upon my first class - a community, that I can now call home.

Playa Chacala

Beach and village about 60 miles north of Puerto Vallarta.

Reviewed By 1_4_adventure - Calgary, Canada

Extremely clean and not very busy even on weekends (compared to any other beach in the state). Surf seems quite general but that depends on the wind and stage of the moon. Definitely worth a visit for an extended vacation.
