Payette Lake

A 5,330-acre lake near the resort town of McCall.

I got a chance to visit Lake Cascade and Redfish Lake and you might be able to snag a better photo app at Redfish or even Cascade but overall Payette took the price for us. The most stuff to do in a medium sized lake. We visited both the State Park and also went paddle boarding on the lake. Paddle boarding and kayaking are the best on the Northeast end of the lake where you can rent from Backwoods adventures and take a journey up the Payette River. The current is almost non-existent so the up river paddling is easy. Ponderosa State Park is so unique in that it takes up almost the entire middle peninsula of the lake. It is worth $ 5 admission just to drive around and make sure you go to the end of the loop drive in the park because you will be rewarded with a higher up panoramic view of the lake.

This was the best time in McCall! Calm, peaceful, and so much to see! Much quieter than boating around the lake. Steph was terrific to work with... we had a large group and she was able to accommodate our changing needs. Website is a little tricky... be careful when booking online to make sure you are choosing the right equipment at the right time. We had some confusion with the booking, but they got us sorted out easily when we arrived. Highly recommend!

The Cove, an Authentic McCall Spa

Reviewed By Sendairocks - Boise, United States

My husband and I spent our 22nd anniversary at the Shore Lodge. We also spent two days soaking. We didn't get any treatments, but paid for soaking passes for two days. The staff was extremely attentive. It was quiet and so relaxing. We went at least three times a day. Our lockers were ours for the day. If you need a larger robe, they have them. When I went back the second day, by the time we got there (just minutes after we called), my locker was ready with the correct sized robe. We had no problems getting reservations, but we were there mid-week. I don't know how hard it is to get passes when it is a weekend.
